Our beloved teacher Shaykh Saleh al Fowzan
Al Salafiyah is the Saved Sect; they are Ahlus Sunnah wal
Jama’a. They are not a party from the present day parties, but rather, they are
The Party of Allah and His Army. They are the group who are upon the Sunnah and
are upright in the religion. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) said: A
group of my Ummah will continue to be victorious upon the truth. They will not
be harmed by those oppose them nor those who seek to deceive them. He (the
Prophet) also stated: This Ummah will be divided into seventy-three sects; all
of them will be in the fire except one. The companions asked: Who is the saved
sect of Messenger of Allah? He replied: Those who are upon that which I am upon
and my companions. Thus, Salafiyah is the methodology that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) was upon
and his companions. Consequently, it is not a modern day party; rather, it is
an old group from the time of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم). This methodology is inherited
and will be continuous upon the truth until the Day of Judgment, as the Prophet
(صلى الله عليه و سلم) has
informed.
