The Prophet ﷺ said: “Guarantee for me six and I will guarantee for you Jannah:

The Prophet said:

Guarantee for me six and I will guarantee  for you Jannah:

1. Be truthful when you speak.

2. Do what you promise.

3. Fulfil your trusts.

4. Save yourselves from fornication.

5. Lower your gazes.

6. Withhold your hands  [from striking].

(As-Sahīhah, no. 1470)

Translated by Abu Khadeejah Abdul-Wahid ‘Alam

How many are only concerned with rectifying their outer appearance,if any kind of blemish such as a small spot on their face they rush to remove it but when the heart the most important part of the body is sick & dying from the diseases of sins and doubts no concern whatsoever...

Charity is from the most noble of deeds that Allaah has legislated for the believers

Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, has stated: Spend from what we have provided you before death approaches one of you and he says, My Lord, if only you would delay me for a brief term so I would give charity and be among the righteous.' Quraan 63:10

.....

A man asked the Prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): Which charity brings the greatest reward? He replied: That you give in charity when you are healthy, feeling miserly, whilst you fear poverty and are in hope of becoming rich. So do not delay until you are at the point of death and then you say: Give this to so-and-so and give that to so-and-so,” when at that point [your wealth and property] already belongs to so-and-so! (Al-Bukhaaree, no. 1419)

Don't Ask When You'll Die! ( !

Don't Ask When You'll Die! - Explained by Sheikh ibn 'Uthaymeen

Sheikh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen:

We say: Do not ask about when you will die, or where you will die because this affair does not need to be asked. It is an affair that is unavoidable and it must occur. And no matter how long you live in this world, it is as if you only remained for one day. As Allah- the Most High- stated:

On the Day they see it (the Day of Judgement), it will be as if they had stayed (in the world) no more than one evening or its morning. (Surah An-Naazi’aat: 46).

However, the question which a person must ponder upon, and (the question) which is incumbent upon the person to have the answer for is:

In what condition will you die?

I do not mean by your condition, are you rich or poor, strong or weak, with children or without. Rather, (what’s intended) is what type of actions will you die upon (obedience to Allah, or disobedience).

If you (truly) are asking yourself this question, then it is incumbent upon you to prepare it is incumbent upon you to prepare because you do not know when death will surprise you.

How many people left (their homes) driving a car, and did not return except that he was being carried on shoulders (for his Janazah). And how many people left their homes saying to their families:  Prepare the food, the lunch or dinner (assuming he will return home), but he did not eat (ever again). And how many individuals, wore their shirts and buttoned their clothing, but they never unbuttoned them. Instead, the person washing their (dead) body opened the buttons in order to wash them.

This affair is witnessed by everyone ; that individuals suddenly die due to (sudden) accidents. Therefore, right now it is upon you to reflect and contemplate about what state you will die in.

We ask Allah to grant us and you Tawbah and Inaabah (repentance and turning to Him).

For this reason, it is befitting for you to increase in istighfaar (seeking forgiveness to Allah) seek as much forgiveness as you are able!

The example of the one who remembers his Lord (Allâh) and the one who does not remember Him

Narrated Abu Mûsâ رضي الله عنه : The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, The example  of the one who remembers (glorifies the Praises  of) his Lord, (Allâh) in comparison to the one who does not remember (glorify the Praises of) his Lord, is that of a living creature compared to a dead one.

(Sahīh Al-Bukhârī, Vol.8, Hadīth No.416)

al-Hilâlî & Muhsin Khân Translation

Shouldn’t we be thankful to Allah!

Ibn al-Qayyim: The servant  breathes 24,000 times a day. Each 1 is a blessing. Shouldn’t we be thankful to Allah!

34. And He gave you of all that you asked for, and if you count the Blessings of Allāh, never will you able to count them. Verily, man is indeed an extreme wrong-doer, a disbeliever (an extreme ingrate who denies Allāh’s Blessings by disbelief, and by worshipping others besides Allāh, and by disobeying Allāh and His Prophet Muhammad Striving For Ones Family (Excerpt)

----

Upon the authority of Ka’b ibn ‘Ujrah – Radhiyallahu Anhu – Who said:

“A man passed by the Prophet – Sallallahu alaihi Was Salam and the Companions of the Messenger of Allah – Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Salam saw his hardiness, striving and his briskness, so they said: Oh Messenger of Allah! If only this was ‘fee sabeelillah’ (In the way of Allah)! So the Messenger of Allah – Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Was Salam said: “If he has left out striving for his young son, then he is ‘fee sabeelillah’, and if he left out striving for his elderly parents, then he is fee sabeelillah, and if left out striving for the virtue and chastity of his own soul, then he is ‘fee sabeellillah’. But if he set out to be seen of the people, and to contend with others in mutual boasting then he is fee sabeelish Shaytaan! (In the path of Shaytaan!)“

FROM THE GLAD TIDINGS OF A GOOD ENDING

Translated by Abbas Abu Yahya

From Hudayfah who said: I made the Prophet sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam recline against my chest and he said:

Whoever says La ilaha ila Allaah seeking the Face of Allaah and dies whist doing so enters Paradise.

Whoever fasts a day seeking the Face of Allaah and dies whilst doing so enters Paradise.

Whoever gave charity seeking the Face of Allaah and dies whilst doing so enters Paradise.’

[Collected by Ahmad. Al-Mundhri said: Collected by Ahmad and his Isnaad has no problems. Albaani authenticated it in Saheeh Targheeb no. 985.]

In another narration with extra wording:

من ختم له بإطعام مسكين محتسبا على الله عز وجل دخل الجنة

Whoever dies whilst feeding a needy person seeking a reward from Allaah Azza wa Jal enters Paradise.’

[Researched by Albaani in Silsilah Saheeh no. 1645]

 In another narration:

‘O Hudayfah, whoever dies whilst fasting one day wanting the Face of Allaah Azza wa Jal, then Allaah enters him into Paradise.’

It is a must we supplicate to Allaah to purify our hearts from Shirk, hypocrisy, jealousy , showing off, self-amazement, spite, rancour, love for leadership, & other sicknesses, for we do not know which sickness will be the reason for our downfall and a cause for a bad ending.

Returning to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) is the greatest of ways to remove calamities, hardships, epidemic diseases, chronic illnesses, depression and sadness...

 .....

Returning to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) is the greatest of ways to remove calamities, hardships, epidemic diseases, chronic illnesses, depression and sadness.

“We tested with good times and bad that perhaps they would return [to obedience].” (Al-A’rāf 7:168)

So, disobedience, going overboard in sins, lewdness and immorality are from the causes of corruption, tribulation and hardship in the lives of the people. Allah stated:

“Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea due to what the hands of people have earned so He may let them taste something of the consequence of what they have done that perhaps they will return [to obedience].” (Ar-Rūm 30:41)

Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) decrees whatever He decrees of good and evil, and whatever takes place of corruption on land  and sea so that mankind may return to the Truth - that they may rush to repent for their sins and transgressions -  and they might hasten to His obedience and to the obedience of His Messenger (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ).

That is because unbelief, and disobedience to Allah (تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى) and His Messenger (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) are the reason behind every evil and calamity in this world and punishment in the Hereafter.

And it is the Tawhīd of Allah, which is to single Him out with worship Him, alone and without partners - and to have Imān in Him, to believe in the resurrection after death and in the Day of Judgement, to believe in Allah’s Messenger (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) and what was revealed to him, to obey Allah and to obey His Messeger (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ), to hold fast to His Sharī’ah and invite others to it, to advise (and even refute) the one who  opposes the Sunnah and the Sharī’ah - it is in that lies  the means to every goodness in this world and the next...

Base loosely on an article and sermon delivered by Shaikh Khālid Adh-Dhufīri (may Allah preserve him).

Extracted from the article How Do I Cope with the Trials, Suffering and Hardships in My Life? Explained in light of the Qur’an and Sunnah  page 5-7, Written & Prepared by Ustadh Abu Khadeejah Abdul-Wahid (may Allah preserve & protect him).

The best type of gatherings!

The Messenger of Allah said, Any group of people that assemble in one of the Houses of Allah to recite the Book of Allah and studying it with each other, tranquility will descend upon them, mercy will engulf them, angels will surround them and Allah will mention them to those (the angels) in near Him. [Muslim]

Hard Hearts and Dead Greenery

Hard Hearts and Dead Greenery

by Abu Adam Jameel Finch

Al-Haafidh Ibn Katheer, may Allah have mercy on him, said:

It is upon us, O Muslims, to cease behaving like those whom Allah has blamed, because they were busied from their Book. It is time for us to carry out what He, The Most High, has commanded us to do. Such as learning The Book of Allah – that has been given to us – teaching it, seeking to understand it, and helping others to understand it.

Allah, The Most High, said – its meaning:

16: Has the time not yet come for the believers’ hearts to be humbled by the remembrance of Allah and the truth that has been revealed, and to not be like those given the scripture before – those who were negligent for so long that their hearts became hard, and many of them were disobedient.

17: Know that Allah revives the Earth after its death. We have certainly made the signs clear for you, so that perhaps you will understand.

[Soorah al-Hadeed (57): 16-17]

By mentioning this verse (i.e. #17) after what came before it (i.e. verse #16), Allah alerted  us that just as He, The Most High, revives the Earth after its death, he likewise softens the hearts due to faith after hardening due to sin and disobedience.

Our hope is directed to Allah, and we ask Him to soften our hearts. Indeed, He is The Most Giving, The Most Generous. (1)

The Shahaadah Has Conditions That Must Be Fulfilled Otherwise Its Utterance Will Not Benefit The One Who Utters It

Al-Hassan Al-Basri [may Allaah have mercy upon him], “The people say that the one who says Laa Ilaaha Illal laah – There is no deity worthy of worship except Allaah – will enter paradise”, so he replied, “The one who says Laa ilaaha illal laah, fulfils it rights and obligations will enter paradise.”

What the Prophet said about being Undutiful to Parents?

Prophet Muhammad said:

“…Cursed is the one who is disobedient and undutiful to his parents.”

[Saheeh At-Targheeb wat-Tarheeb no. 2430]

*Cursed means that a person is far away from Allaah’s mercy and any bad deed for which the punishment is being cursed is a MAJOR SIN.

Ill-Mannered Towards Family [i.e. Parents, Wives, Children and Other Relatives] But Good Mannered Towards People Who Are Not Related To Us – [A Brief Admonition By Imaam Ash-Shawkaani]

Imaam As-Shawkaani [rahimahullaah] said:

Indeed, [amongst] the people [i.e. believers] – those with the loftiest station in goodness and the worthiest of being described as such – are those people who give their families the best treatment, for indeed the family of a person are worthier of being approached with cheerfulness, good manners and kindness, bringing good to them and repelling harm from them. So, if a man is like this [to his family], he is from the best of the people [i.e. in this affair]; but if not, he is on the opposite side – evil [behaviour]. The people often fall into this [behaviour], so you see a man being the most ill-mannered, the most selfish and the least in bringing good when he meets his family; but when he meets others, he become good natured, good mannered, upright and brings a lot of good. Indeed, there is no doubt that the one who is like this is deprived and has deviated from the right path [i.e. in this affair]. And we ask Allaah for safety [from evil].

Following the Prophet for greater Tawheed - by Ibn Taymiyyah

FOLLOWING THE PROPHET FOR GREATER TAWHEED

Translated By Abbas Abu Yahya

Shaykh ul-Islaam Ibn Taymeeyah -Rahimahullaah- said:

The more a person follows Muhammad , the greater his Tawheed of Allaah will be, and likewise his sincerity in [worshipping Him alone] in the religion.

When he distances himself from following the Messenger then his holding onto the religion becomes deficient in accordance with that.

When the distance away from following the Prophet is great, then Shirk and Bida appear in him, that which does not appear in the one who is closer in following the Messenger .
