Dhikr For Repentance

From Ibn Umar –RadhiAllaahu anhumma- who said:

“O my Lord forgive me and accept my repentance indeed You are the One who forgives and most merciful.”

Allaah Forgives All Sins

 Allaah Forgives All Sins

On the authority of 'Abdullaah b. 'Abbas (radiallaahu'anhu) that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said:

Allaah, the Most High, says:

"Whoever knows that I have the power to forgive all sins, I will forgive him and I shall not care, as long as he does not associate any partners with me."

Say These at the Right Time and Be Forgiven

In Al-Nasāʾī’s narration from Abū Hurairah alone, [who attributed it to Prophet and said]:

Whoever says:1

-he counted them as five on his fingers-and then said: “Whoever says them during a day or during a night or in a month and then dies on that day or that night or that month, will have his sins forgiven.”

Rated aī li ghairihi [authentic due to supporting narrations] by Al-Albānī in aī Al-Targhib wa-l-Tarhīb, vol. 3. P. 362.

The Night Prayer (Tahajjud) & its Virtues

You should perform the Night Prayer for indeed it is the (continuous) practice of the righteous (people) who came before you; it draws (you) close to your Lord, expiates evil deeds and prevent (you) from sinning.

Reported by Al-Haakim (rahimahullaah) 1/308 and others, and declared ‘Hasan’ by Shaikh Albaani (rahimahullaah) in ‘Irwaa Al-Ghaleel’ number 452; pages 199-200; Vol 2; Publisher: Maktabah Al-Islaamiy 2nd Ed. 1405 AH- Year 1985

“When you see Allaah giving the servant from the worldly affairs which he loves whilst he is upon disobedience, Indeed it is a gradual punishment (leading to his destruction), the he recited:

“So, when they forgot (the warning) with which they had been reminded, We opened to them the gates of every (pleasant) thing, until in the midst of their enjoyment in that which they were given, all of a sudden, We took them to punishment, and lo! They were plunged into destruction with deep regrets and sorrows.”

21- 323 – On the authority of Abu Dharr in a narration ascribed to the Prophet: "Smiling in your brother’s face is charity (Sadaqah) for you, when you enjoin the good and prohibit evil it is charity, when you show directions to a man who has lost his way it is Sadaqah for you. Helping a weak–sighted person by using your sight is charity for you. When you remove a rock, thorn and bones from the pathway it is charity for you. When you pour from your bucket into your brother’s bucket it is charity for you."

Keeping away from evil is indeed Sadaqa.

32- 351 – On the authority of Abu Musa al-Ashaari in a narration ascribed to the Prophet:

‘Every Muslim has to give Sadaqa (charity).’ It was asked what if it cannot be found? He said: ‘He should work with his hands, so he benefits himself and gives Sadaqa.’ It was asked: ‘What if that cannot be done?’ He said: ‘He helps the person who is in need and is troubled.’ It was asked: ‘What if that cannot be done?’ He said: ‘Command good actions or goodness.’ It was asked: ‘What if he does not do that?’ He said: ‘Keeping away from evil is indeed Sadaqa.’

“The first matter that the people will be called to account for on the Day of Judgement from their deeds will be the Prayer..."

The Prophet (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) said:

The first matter that the people will be called to account for on the Day of Judgement from their deeds will be the Prayer. Our Lord, the Exalted, will say to the angels, though He knows better: Look into the prayer of My servant and see whether he has offered it perfectly or deficiently. If it is perfect, it will be recorded as perfect. If it is deficient, He will say: See if there are some optional prayers offered by My servant. If he has optional prayers, Allah will say: Compensate the obligatory Prayers with the optional Prayers for My servant. Then all the actions will be accounted similarly.
