Sufyaan
ibn ‘Uyaynah [d. 197H] said:
“Never
leave off making du’aa nor allow whatever bad deeds you have done
prevent you from it (i.e. making du’aa) for indeed Allaah answered the du’aa
of Iblees [Shaytaan] – and he is the most evil of the creation – when he said:
“Allow
me respite until the day they are raised up (i.e. the day of resurrection). He
(Allaah) said: ‘You are of those allowed respite.’”[ Soorah al-A’rāf, 7:14-15]
