Evil thoughts & suspicions can result from accompanying evil people!

A man said to someone:

“Something shameful reached me about you.” He responded, saying, “O you, indeed accompanying evil people leads to evil thoughts about good people.”

Those whose efforts have been wasted in this life while they thought that they were acquiring good by their deeds.

For the acceptance of the righteous deeds it is stipulated that the following two basic conditions must be fulfilled:

a) The intentions while doing such deeds must be totally for Allâhs sake only without any show-off or to gain praise or fame.

b) Such a deed must be performed in accordance with the Sunnah of Allâhs Messenger Muhammad bin Abdullâh صلى الله عليه وسلم, the last of the Prophets and the Messengers.

Narrated Aishah رضي الله عنها: Allâhs Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said: If somebody innovates something which is not present in our religion (of Islâmic Monotheism), then that thing will be rejected.(Sahîh Al-Bukhârî, Vol. 3, Hadîth No. 861).

In another Hadîth narrated Aishah رضي الله عنها: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: Whoever perform a (good) deed which we have not ordered (anyone) to do (or is not in accord with our religion of Islâmic Monotheism), then that deed will be rejected and will not accepted. What Possibly Can Be Worse than Murder and Adultery?

WHAT POSSIBLY CAN BE WORSE THAN MURDER AND ADULTERY?

Ibn al-Qayyim (رَحِمَهُ اللهُ) said:

Muslims agree that intentionally failing to pray a compulsory prayer is from the greatest of the major sins, and that this sin is worse than murder, adultery, stealing, plundering, and consuming alcohol, and that whoever does this is prone to Allāhs anger, punishment, and humiliation in both this world and the next.

NOTE: Repost

Calamities and tests in life are in reality a wake up call, telling us to change ourselves for the better and to return and humble ourselves to our Creator. But how many of us carry on like nothing ever happened and persist in our heedlessness…

The great scholar, Ibn Muflih (d.763H) رحمه الله said:

If it was not for the calamities, the servant would become arrogant and ungrateful and would have transgressed and oppressed. But through calamities Allaah protects him from that and purifies him from his inner impurities. So Glorified and Exalted is He, Who gives mercy through His trials and tests (the servants) with His bounties.

The Primary Objective in Fasting is not about absence of food or drink… Sh. ‘Uthaymīn رحمه الله

The Primary Objective from Fasting

Whomsoever fasts apparently & physically but does not fast inwardly from his heart, then his fast is extremely deficient…extremely deficient if he does not stop his sins, since the primary objective from fasting is to stop sinning, stopping food & drink etc is secondary!

Finding pleasure in disobedience does not occur except through intoxication with heedlessness.

Past nations enjoined good and forbade evil as Allah (Exalted be He) sent His Messengers and revealed His Books to fulfill it.

---

The very foundation of good is Tawhid (belief in the Oneness of Allah/ monotheism) and being sincere to Him; whereas, the very foundation of evil is Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship) and worshipping others apart from Allah. All the messengers of Allah were sent to call people to believe in the Oneness of Allah (Exalted be He), which is the highest point of good, and forbid them to associate others with Allah, which is the worst level of evil.

“The favour Allaah bestows on a servant by granting him the Tawfeeq [i.e. guidance to know the truth and act] upon the pure Sunnah and follow its upright, is a great blessing that obligates on a servant to thank and remember Allaah a lot. Fasting in the month of Sha’baan

Fasting in the month of Sha’baan

Narrated from Usaamah Ibn Zaid (Allah be pleased with him) who said:

I said to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم , Oh Messenger of Allah, I have not seen you fast during any month of the year like your fasting during Shabaan?

He responded, It is a month that people are negligent of between Rajab and Ramadhaan and it is amonth wherein actions are raised to the Lord of All Worlds. Thus, I love that my actions be raised whilst I am fasting.

Saying Bismillah before pouring hot water - Shaykh Zaid Al Madkhali رحمه الله

Saying Bismillah before pouring hot water

Answered by: Shaykh Zaid Al Madkhali

Question: Is it authentic, that it is correct for us to say, Bismillah (In the Name of Allah) when pouring hot water in the sewage in order that we don’t burn the Jinn in the sewage?

Shaykh Zaid Al Madkhali:

Answer: At any rate; don’t pour hot water, don’t pour it in the sewage nor on the earth, don’t pour hot water. Because the earth is filled with inhabitants, so it is possible that it could fall upon the race of the Jinn or upon their young ones causing some of them to take revenge, consequently possessing the person. For this reason if someone wants to pour hot water let him cool it down with (cool) water until it becomes cold and is no longer harmful, then pour it in the sewage or somewhere else.
