Shaykhul Al-Islam ibn Taymiyyah said:

“…In one aspect marijuana is more corruptive than alcohol in that it corrupts the intellect, mood and mental decency so much so a man will become effeminate and lose all kind of jealousy  (honour) for his wife. On the other hand alcohol is more corruptive as it leads to disputes and fighting. Both hinder (the son of Adam) from remembering Allah and praying to him.”
