Study and act upon what you learn

Maalik Bin Deenaar [rahimahullaah] said: “When a slave [of Allaah] seeks knowledge to act upon it, it withholds him [from evil & guides him towards good].

And when he seeks it for other than acting upon it, it increases him in boasting”.

Keep striving & don't give up!

The soul is occupied with one of two things:

1. Knowledge or ignorance
2. Righteous actions or evil

Ibn Taymiyyah said:

Al-I'tisam bi-Sunnah | Ibn Taymiyyah

Al-I’TISAAM BIS-SUNNAH

Shaikhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah –rahimahullaah- said, as occurs in Majmoo 'ul-Fataawaa (4/137):

They used to say: Clinging to the Sunnah (al-I'tisaam bis-Sunnah) is salvation.

Maalik –rahimahullaah- said: The Sunnah is like the Ark of Nooh: whoever embarks upon it will be saved, and whoever remains apart from it will be destroyed;’ and this is true, for the Ark of Nooh was only boarded by those who attested to the truthfulness of the Messengers, and followed them; and those who did not board it had rejected the Messengers.

So following the Sunnah is to follow the Message which came from Allaah.
So the one who follows it is just like one who boarded the Ark along with Nooh, outwardly and inwardly; and the one who fails to follow the Message is just like one who failed to follow Nooh'alaihis-Salaam, and failed to board the Ark along with him.

The harm that the innovator in the religion brings is much, they block the path to Paradise & many Muslims don’t even realise. So beware of innovations & the callers to it & this is the reason why the Salafis warn against them as they take you away from the correct path…

Imaam ibn al-Qayyim (d.751H) رحمه الله stated:

“It is known that the sinner only harms himself, but as for the innovator (in the religion) he harms many and his tribulation and harms is in the foundations of (a person’s) religion whereas the tribulation of the sinner is in regards to his desires. As for the innovator, he lies in wait in order to block the people from the straight path, however the sinner is not like that. The innovator rejects the attributes of the Lord and His perfection and the sinner is not like that. The innovator contradicts what the Messenger came with and the sinners is not like that. The innovator cutts off the path to the hereafter (Paradise) from the people and the sinner (only) delays his journey to (Paradise) due to his sins.”

Fasting the six days of Shawwal | Ibn Uthaymeen

Shaykh Uthaymeen said: If a person doesn’t fast the 6 days of Shawwal at the beginning of the month, that is permissible, due to his statement: “then he follows it up with 6 (days) from Shawwal.”* What is apparent from that is, so long as they’re within the month, then it’s okay.

Be careful who you give Zakaat to…

11 May 2019 – 5:20 AM
www.MarkazMuaadh.com

Shaykhul Islaam ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله stated,

As for Zakaat, then one should seek to give it to those who are deserving of it, from the poor, the needy, those in debt and other than them from the people of righteousness, who follow the Shareeah (Islamic rulings). As for he, who openly practices innovation or immoral acts, then indeed he deserves punishment, by boycotting him and other than that and should be called to repentance, so how can he be helped with Zakaat in that (innovation or sin)?!

From the signs of happiness & misery is that a person:

From the signs of happiness is that a person:

1. Desires good for the Muslims
2. Strives to direct them to guidance
3. Advises them
4. Conceals their faults & does not spread them
5. Does all of this seeking Allah’s Face.

Imām Sa’dī, Unity, p. 28.

From the signs of misery is that a person:

1. Endeavors to spread backbiting & tale-carrying among the people
2. Searches for faults
3. If they hear anything negative they spread it; they may even add commentary
4. They are the most evil of the people before Allah

Safeguarding One’s Tongue is the  Foundation of Every Good

Concerning the Hadīth of the Prophet :

ألا أخبرك بملاك ذلك كله؟ قلت: بلى، فأخذ ﷺ بلسانه
 فقال: كف عليك هذا

Shall I not inform you of that which is inclusive of all this? I (the narrator) said: ‘Of course.’ He grabbed hold of his tongue and said: Restrain this!

Al-Hāfidh Ibn Rajab said:

This indicates that restraining the tongue, controlling it, and safeguarding it is the foundation of every good. And that he who controls his tongue has mastery over all his affairs, has them set in order and under control.

Shaykh Muammad ibn āli al-ʿUthaymīn (رحمه الله):

The punishment of the grave is something established for everyone who deserves it, whether they died on Jumuʿah, or in Ramaān, or at any  other time. Consequently, the Muslims  say in the  tashahhud of every prayer: I seek refuge in Allāh from the punishment of Jahannam, from the punishment of the grave, from the trials of life and death, and from the trial of the Dajjāl…
