Dhikr For Repentance

From Ibn Umar –RadhiAllaahu anhumma- who said:

“We would count that the Messenger of Allaah –sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam– would say in one sitting one hundred times:

رَبِّ اغْفِرْليِ وَتُبْ عَلَيَّ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ

“O my Lord forgive me and accept my repentance indeed You are the One who forgives and most merciful.”

The Ruling of the Effects of the Tattoo Remaining on the Body

 -----

The Ruling of the Effects of the Tattoo Remaining on the Body

Shaykh Abdul Azeez bin Abdullaah bin Baz –Rahimahullaah- (d. 1420 A.H.) said:

When a Muslim gets tattooed whilst in a state of ignorance of it being prohibited, or whilst he was young, then it is necessary for him to remove them after having knowledge that it is prohibited. However, if there is a hardship in removing it or harm, then repentance and seeking forgiveness is sufficient.

Allaah Forgives All Sins

 Allaah Forgives All Sins

On the authority of 'Abdullaah b. 'Abbas (radiallaahu'anhu) that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said:

 قال اللهُ تعالى: مَنْ عَلِمَ أَنِّي ذو قدرةٍ على مغفرةِ الذنوبِ غفرتُ لَهُ ولا أُبالِي، مالم يشرِكْ بي شيئًا.

Allaah, the Most High, says:

"Whoever knows that I have the power to forgive all sins, I will forgive him and I shall not care, as long as he does not associate any partners with me."

A true believer of (Islamic Monotheism) is obedient to Allaah and His Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) and follows the Qur'aan and Prophet's Sunnah.

27. O you who believe! Betray not Allāh and His Messenger, nor betray knowingly  your Amānāt (things entrusted to you, and all the duties which Allāh has ordained for you).

28. And know that your possessions and your children are but a trial and that surely with Allāh is a mighty reward.

29. O you who believe! If you obey and fear Allāh He will grant you Furqān [(a criterion to judge between right and wrong), or (Makhraj, i.e. a way for you to get out from difficulty)], and will expiate for you your sins, and forgive you; and Allāh is the Owner of the Great Bounty.

On the authority  of Abū Mūsa al-Ashari (رضي الله عنه) who quoted Allāhs Messenger () as saying,

Allāh stretches out His Hand during the night, so that people may repent for their shortcomings committed during the day. He also stretches out His Hand during the day, so that the sinners may repent for the sins committed during the night. Until the sun rises in the west(1). (Muslim: 2759).

Ibn Al-Qayyim (may Allah’s mercy be upon him) said:

“Sometimes, Allah permits the earth  to take a breath and due to that there befalls on the earth great earthquakes-and as a consequence of that His servants become afraid and fearful, they turn to Him in repentance and they abandon sin and disobediencethey humble themselves before Him in humility , and they feel remorse, as one of the Pious Predecessors said when the earth shook with an earthquake, ‘Indeed  your Lord is admonishing you!’ And when Madinah was shaken by an earthquake, Umar Ibn Al-Khattāb (Allah be pleased with him) addressed the people and admonished them, saying , ‘If it happens again , I will not live among you in  Madinah.”*

* Ibn Abī Dunyā reported: “An earthquake struck in the time of ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with him), so he said: ‘O people! This earthquake did not occur except due to some transgression you have committed! By the One in whose Hand is my soul, if it strikes again, I will not live in this city with you, ever.”

Increasing good actions

In Muslim, it is reported on the authority of Aishah رضي الله عنها that Messenger of Allāh said, Everyone  of the children of Adam has been created with three hundred and sixty joints; so he who declares  the Glory of Allāh (i.e., saying Allāhu Akbar), praises Allāh (i.e., Al-hamdu lillāh), declares Allāh to be One (i.e., Lā ilāha illallāh), glorifies Allāh, and seeks forgiveness from Allāh (i.e., Astaghfirullāh), and removes stone, or thorn, or bone from peoples path, and enjoins good and forbids evil, to the number of those three hundred and sixty, will walk  that day having rescued himself from Hell.

The sign of the person’s happiness ...

Ibnul Qayyim رحمه الله said:

The sign of the person’s happiness is to turn their attention toward themselves, their sins, and faults, and to busy themselves with repentance and rectification. He will  not have  time to reflect over  what befell him; rather, he turns toward repentance. And Allāh will help him , protect him, and defend him. So what can bring about more joy than that for the slave?!

Trials and Tribulation is a sign that Allaah loves good for us

126. See they not that they are put in trial once or twice every year (with different kinds of calamities, disease, famine)? Yet, they turn not in repentance, nor do they learn a lesson (from it).

Hasten towards obedience to Allaah

In The Name of Allaah The Most Merciful The Bestower of Mercy.

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz (rahimahullaah) said:

Whoever exercises patience during times of affliction, thankful during times of ease, submissive to Allaah (Glorified be He) when calamities occur, expresses disappointment about himself to Allaah, due to his sins and shortcomings, and seeks Allaah’s Mercy and Forgiveness, then indeed he [or she] will succeed with all success and with a praiseworthy end...

A few extract

.....

Disbelief and sins are the cause of every affliction and evil in this life and the next. As for Tawheed, belief in Allaah and His Messengers, obedience to Allaah and His Messengers, holding fast to Allaah’s Sharee’ah and calling to it, and rejecting what is in opposition to it, this is the cause of every good in this life and the hereafter.  And adhering firmly to it, enjoining it and co-operating upon it is the [real] source of honour in this life and the hereafter, safety from every hated thing and protection from every Fitnah, as Allaah [The Most High] said:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِن تَنصُرُوا اللَّهَ يَنصُرْكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَكُمْ

O you who believe! If you help (in the cause of) Allah, He will help you, and make your foothold firm. 47:7

Allah is Oft-Forgiving Full of Love

Allah the Exalted said:

وَهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الْوَدُودُ

And He is Oft-Forgiving, Full of love (Soorah Al Burûj 85:14)

Imam as-Sa’di said: The subtly for “Full of love” being coupled with “Oft-Forgiving” is to show the sinners if they repent to Allah, He will forgive them of their sins and He will love them. Those who say the repentant sinners are forgiven but the love does not return to them are incorrect.

Abdullah Ibn Mas’ūd رضي الله عنه said:

If you see a man among yourselves committing a sin do not supplicate to Allāh against him and do not insult him. Instead, supplicate to Allāh to cure him and to accept his repentance , for verily, when we used to see a man ending upon good, we would have hope for him, and when we used to see a man ending upon evil, we would fear for him.
