“Whoever safeguards himself from two characteristics, then his fasts will be saved; BACKBITING and LYING.

Shaykh ‘Allāmah ‘Abdullāh Ibn ‘Aqīl (رحمه الله) about Shaykh ‘Allāmah Rabī ' al-Madkhalī (حفظه الله)

Shaykh Allāmah Abdullāh Ibn Aqīl (رحمه الله) about Shaykh Allāmah Rabī' al-Madkhalī

I and a group of our Shaykhs students (may Allāh protect him) were in his large library reading aī Muslim to him in the year 1428 AH (2007). Then Allāmah Abdullāh Ibn Aqīl arrived, gave salām to our Shaykh and said to him: Extend your head towards me so I may kiss it. Shaykh Rabī then said: I seek Allāhs  forgiveness! I seek Allāhs forgiveness! Ibn Aqīl (رَحِمَهُ الله) then sat down, and after asking our Shaykh about his health, he said:

O seekers of knowledge, it is upon you all to learn from Shaykh Rabī. It is upon you to learn from this scholar. By Allāh if he was to leave you  (i.e. by passing away), you will surely bite upon your fingers in regret (i.e. due to failure of benefitting from him).

Supplicating for your Deceased Parents during the Night Prayers | Al-'Allamah Ibn 'Uthaymeen

@SALAFIDAWALANCS

Supplicating for your Deceased Parents during the Night Prayers!

Shaykh Ibn Uthaymīn (رَحِمَهُ اللهُ) said:

The students of knowledge should disseminate among the common people that ashā ul-wālidayn (slaughtering an animal and preparing food on behalf of the deceased parents and feeding people from it as charity for the parents) which occurs in Ramaān is not the best of things. (Rather) for you to make duā for your (deceased) father during tarāwī prayer or tahajjud prayer is far better than you slaughtering ten she-camels for him (as charity).

Random Quote of the Day

Shaykh Muqbil (رَحِمَهُ اللهُ) said:

“If you are strong in ‘Aqīdah (correct Islamic creed) then the jins and the shayān will be fearful of you, and if you are shaky in Aqīdah then you are likely to be frightened by your own shadow.”

(قمع المعاند 48)

Translator’s Note: To be sound, strong, and well-versed in the correct Islamic creed one requires a dedicated approach in studying and sound comprehension of the ‘Aqīdah books of Ahlus-Sunnah.
