Allāhs Messenger said:

From that which I fear for you the most after me is your stomachs (i.e. eating what is hāram), your private parts (i.e. fornication) and the misguided desires (i.e. innovation and deviation).

Absolute Safety Is Found In The Path Of The Salaf And Beware Of Ahlul Bidah! – Shaykh Al-Allaamah Zaid Ibn Muhammad Al-Madkhali (rahimahullah)

Al-Allaamah Zaid Ibn Muhammad Al-Madkhali ( May Allah have mercy on him ) said :

“And beware! Beware of falling into innovation and mixing [with] its people, and beware of listening to their deceptive [statements] and arguments because it is a disease. Indeed safety- absolute safety- is found in clinging to the Quran and Sunnah based on the correct understanding- the [understanding] of the Salafus Saaleh [the righteous predecessors], which cannot be attained except by way of ernest effort and striving in seeking understanding of the religion, with the righteous intention, wisdom [in the manner of] attaining and conveying [it].”

A Collection of Beneficial Statements #5

The great scholar Rabee’ Bin Haadi Al Madkhali (may Allah the Most High preserve him) said:

أكثرهم أصبحوا جنداً لأهل البدع فلابد من تحذيرهم.

The common folk should be taughtAqeedah (creed) and warned against the people of innovation. These days, most common folk have become recruits for the people of innovation, so they must be warned.

Biography of Ash-Shaykh Al-Allāmah Rabī’ Ibn Hādī Al-Madkhalī and the Praise of the Scholars for him:

.....

Shaikh Abdullāh al-Ahmarī said: I asked our Shaikh Ibn Bāz (rahimahullāh) over fourteen years ago, “O our Shaikh! Shaikh Rabī’ criticises so-and-so and so-and-so and he criticises the callers.” So Shaikh Ibn Bāz responded:

“Fear Allāh! The man is an Imām in the Sunnah!” [1]

[1] See An-Naqulāt as-Salafiyyah fir-Radd ‘alat-Tā’ifatil-Haddādiyyah, (51).

.....

Then Shaikh Ibn ‘Uthaimīn was asked: “There is a question concerning the books of Shaikh Rabī’? (i.e what is your opinion concerning them?)” So the Shaikh (rahimahullāh) responded:

“It is apparently clear that this question is not in need of my answer. And just as Imām Ahmad was asked about Ishāq bin Rāhooyah (died 238AH) and he replied, ‘Someone like me is asked about Ishāq?! Rather, Ishāq is to be asked about me.’ And I spoke at the beginning of my speech about that which I know about Shaikh Rabī’, may Allāh grant him success, and what I mentioned has never ceased to be what I hold about him in my soul, up until this time. And his arrival here and his words that have reached me, then no doubt, they are such that they will increase a person in his love for him and in his supplication for him.” [4]

Free Your Heart From Any Ills (i.e. Enmity, Hostility, Resentment and Rancour)

Ibn Rajab:

The ease of a Believer is due to the ease he provides his brother and he wishes for his brother what wishes for himself. This will come about if his heart is free from any ills.

A Supplication Which Allaah Answers by الإعتصام بالسنة

بـسم الله الرّحمن الرّحيم

A SUPPLICATION WHICH ALLAAH ANSWERS

From Buraydah-radiyAllaahu ‘anhu- that Allaahs Messenger heard a man saying:

اللَّهُمَّ إنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ أنِّي أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ أَنْتَ اللهُ لاَ إِلَهَ إلاَّ

أَنْتَ، الأحَدُ الصَّمَدُ، الَّذِيْ لَمْ يَلدْ وَلَممْ يُوْلَدْ، وَلَمْ يَكُنْ

لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ

Meaning: O Allaah: I ask you by the fact that I bear witness that You are Allaah, none has the right to be worshipped except You: The Unique One, the perfect Lord and Master upon Whom all the creation depends. The One Who has no parent and no child, and there is none like Him.

So he said: < You have asked Allaah  by the name which is such that if He is asked by it He gives, and if He is supplicated to by it He responds.>1

Did You Know?

On the authority of ‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Umar who said, the Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

“The salām [i.e. greeting of Islām] comes before asking a question, whoever begins with some (other) speech before the salām then do not respond to him.”

Rectify What Is Between You And Allāh.

Rectify What Is Between You And Allāh.

Scholars used to offer admonitions and write to one another regarding three things: Whoever rectifies himself internally, Allāh will make him upright externally as well. And whoever rectifies whatever is between himself and Allāh, then Allāh will rectify whatever is between him and the people. And whoever rectifies the matter of his hereafter, then Allāh will rectify his worldly life.

Shaykh ‘Allāmah ‘Abdullāh Ibn ‘Aqīl (رحمه الله) about Shaykh ‘Allāmah Rabī ' al-Madkhalī (حفظه الله)

Shaykh Allāmah Abdullāh Ibn Aqīl (رحمه الله) about Shaykh Allāmah Rabī' al-Madkhalī

I and a group of our Shaykhs students (may Allāh protect him) were in his large library reading aī Muslim to him in the year 1428 AH (2007). Then Allāmah Abdullāh Ibn Aqīl arrived, gave salām to our Shaykh and said to him: Extend your head towards me so I may kiss it. Shaykh Rabī then said: I seek Allāhs  forgiveness! I seek Allāhs forgiveness! Ibn Aqīl (رَحِمَهُ الله) then sat down, and after asking our Shaykh about his health, he said:

O seekers of knowledge, it is upon you all to learn from Shaykh Rabī. It is upon you to learn from this scholar. By Allāh if he was to leave you  (i.e. by passing away), you will surely bite upon your fingers in regret (i.e. due to failure of benefitting from him).

Shaykh Saalih Ibn Fawzaan (hafidhahullaah) stated while mentioning the different forms of disbelief:

Shaykh Saalih Ibn Fawzaan (hafidhahullaah) stated while mentioning  the different  forms of disbelief:

As for disbelief by way of doubt, this is uncertainty. Hence, if a Muslim has doubt in his heart: is that which the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) delivered true or not? Will there truly be a resurrection or not? Is there really a paradise and hell-fire or not? This individual has disbelieved due to his uncertainty even if he prays, fasts and does other forms of good deeds. As long as he is not certain in his faith and he possesses doubts and uncertainty concerning what was delivered by the Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) or he says: It is possible that Islaam is the truth and it is likewise possible that is not the truth. This type of individual has apostated from Islaam.5

Allāh stated in the Qur’an, “And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allāh, and be not divided among yourselves, and remember Allāh’s Favor on you, for you were enemies one to another but He joined your hearts together, so that by His Grace, you became brethren in faith.” (3:103)

The Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) said: “I have left amongst you that which, if you were to cling to it, you will never go astray: The Book of Allāh, and my Sunnah.” [Reported by al-Hākim – Saheeh] And he (صلى الله عليه و سلم) said: “Hold on to my Sunnah, and the Sunnah of the rightly guided Caliphs after me.” [Sunan Abee Dawood (no. 4607)]

-----

A few excerpt:

... “And if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allāh and His Messenger, if you believe in Allāh and in the Last Day.” (4:59)

And the saying of the Messenger of Allāh (صلى الله عليه و سلم): “Those of you who live long after me shall witness great differing. So upon you is to follow my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly-guided Caliphs. Hold tightly to it and bite onto it with your molar teeth. And be warned of newly-invented matters in the Religion, as every newly-invented matter is an innovation, and every innovation is misguidance.” [Sunan Abee Dawood (no. 4607)]

-----

Shaykh-ul-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah (رحمه الله) discussed the ‘Rope of Allāh’ and what it means. So he discusses what is meant by this unity and this holding onto the rope of Allāh. He stated, “It has been explained that the ‘Rope of Allāh’ is His Book, and His religion, it is Islām, it is Ikhlās, it is His commandments, it is the covenant of Allāh, it is obedience to Allāh, and it is the Jamā`ah”. Ibn `Abdil Barr (رحمه الله) in At-Tamheed, mentions, “The rope of Allāh is the Jamā`ah of the Sahābah (رضي الله عنهم).” Meaning, hold onto that which the Sahaabah (رضي الله عنهم) held onto.

Imam Al-Awzai’s Letter of Warning against Heresy and Heretics

Imam Al-Awzai’s Letter of Warning against Heresy and Heretics

It is reported that Imām Al-Awzā’ ī (d157H) wrote:

O Muslims, fear Allāh and obey Him, and accept the advice of the sincere advisers and the exhortation of the exhorters, and know that this knowledge is religion, so be careful about what you do [in it] and from whom you take [it] and who you follow and who you trust your religion to. For verily, the followers of Bidah are all falsifiers and liars, neither  are they careful nor do they fear and protect [against wrongdoing], and nor are they to be trusted to not distort what you hear. They say what they know not when criticizing and decrying or when affirming their lies. But Allāh encompasses what they do. So be on guard against them, suspect them, reject them and distance yourselves from them, for this was what your earlier scholars and the righteous latter ones did and instructed others to do.

Beware of rising against Allāh and becoming instruments in the destruction of His religion and undoing its handholds by respecting the innovators, for you know what has come down to us about respecting them. And what stronger respect and veneration can there be than taking your religion from them, following them, believing them, being close to them and helping them in alluring those they allure and attracting those they attract of the weak Muslims towards their ideas and the religion they practice? This is enough to be considered a partnership and contribution to what they do.

Ibn ‘Asākir, Tārikh Dimihq 6:361, 362.

A Fine Example from the Life of Our Noble Prophet (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam)

-----

Mūsā bin Talhah narrated that his father said: I was with the Prophet (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) and he passed by some date-palm trees of Madinah, and he saw some people at the top of the trees who were pollinating them. He said: “What are these people doing?” Talhah (radiyallāhu ‘anhu) said: “They’re taking pollen from the male and putting it in the female to fertilise it.”

The Messenger (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) said: “I do not think this will help in any way.” The news of that reached them, so they stopped doing it and came down from the trees  - and the trees did not bear any fruit that year as a result.

When the news reached the Prophet (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam), he said: “It was only a suggestion that I had. If it helps  in any way, then do it. I am a human just like you, and views may be right or wrong. But if I tell you that Allah (the Mighty and Majestic ) said something, then I will never say anything untruthful about Allah.”(Reported in the Musnad of Imām Ahmad nos. 1399, 1400) See also Sahīh Muslim (no. 2361) who reported the incident and that the Prophet (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) said: “You are more knowledgeable concerning your worldly affairs.”

Important advice for the whole Ummah - “Worship Allah alone and do not associate any partners with Him..."

 -----

Allah commands people in general to know that they they should worship Him because He created them and fear Him by carrying out His Commands and avoiding His Prohibitions. `Ibadah (worship of Allah) implies piousness, guidance, righteousness and Islam with which Allah sent the Messengers and sent down the Divine Books. It indicates that we should worship Allah Alone, seek Him Only with our obedience and acts of worship, carry out the acts of worship in accordance with what He (Glorified be He) legislated, not to worship anyone beside Him, be it a jinn, a human being, an idol, a star or anything else from among His Creatures.

Allah (Exalted be He) says in Surah-Al-Fatihah,  You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything).  And He (Glorified be He) says in other Surahs,  And they were commanded not, but that they should worship Allâh, and worship none but Him Alone (abstaining from ascribing partners to Him)  And,  O mankind! Worship your Lord (Allâh)  And,  And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him.  And,  So, call you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and the believers) upon (or invoke) Allâh making (your) worship pure for Him (Alone) (by worshipping none but Him and by doing religious deeds sincerely for Allâh’s sake only and not to show off and not to set up rivals with Him in worship), however much the disbelievers (in the Oneness of Allâh) may hate (it).  All these and many other Ayahs prove the necessity of seeking Allah Alone with worship and discarding all other than Him .

“Will Allah punish me Upon Prayer?!”

“Will Allah punish me Upon Prayer?!”

It is reported Sa’īd Ibn ul-Musayyib saw a man praying more than just 2 raka’āt after the dawn of Fajr (i.e. after Fajr time had started and so nothing other than the 2 Sunnah of Fajr should be prayed and then Fajr itself), with many bowings (rukoo’) and many prostrations (i.e. many raka’āt), so he forbade him.)

The man said, “O Abu Mohammad! Will Allāh punish me upon praying?!”.

Ibn ul-Musayyib said, “No, but He will punish you upon opposing the Sunnah”.

[reported by al-Baihaqī with an authentic chain]

Shaikh al-Albanī رحمه الله تعالى stated: “This is from the magnificent responses of Sa’īd Ibn ul-Musayyib رحمه الله تعالى. And it is a powerful weapon against the innovators who approve and sanction many innovations in the name of them being (forms of) “prayer” or “remembrance”; then they even rebuke  ahlus-Sunnah for refuting them upon it; and they accuse ahlus Sunnah for refuting them upon it, and they accuse ahlus Sunnah of rejecting “prayer” and “remembrance”!

Rather ahlus Sunnah rebuke their opposition of the Sunnah in the prayer and remembrance”.
