Sins Hinder The Sweetness of Worship

Sins Hinder The Sweetness of Worship

Yayá ibn Mu’ādh رحمه الله stated:

The sickness of the body results in pain  while  sickness of the heart  is a result of sins. Thus, just as the body  does not find enjoyment in eating whilst it is sick; similarly, the heart does not experience the sweetness of worship with sins.

Dham al-Hawaá v.1, pg. 68

Repentance & Forgiveness

If the servant recognizes that everything which afflicts him from things which are  disliked and detested is a result  of his sins, then he busies himself with repentance and asking for forgiveness from his sins.

Fasting in the month of Sha’baan

Fasting in the month of Sha’baan

Narrated from Usaamah Ibn Zaid (Allah be pleased with him) who said:

I said to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم , Oh Messenger of Allah, I have not seen you fast during any month of the year like your fasting during Shabaan?

He responded, It is a month that people are negligent of between Rajab and Ramadhaan and it is amonth wherein actions are raised to the Lord of All Worlds. Thus, I love that my actions be raised whilst I am fasting.

Rectification of The Beliefs Comes First - Al 'Allaamah Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan | Mpubs (@Mpubs)

REMINDERS & QUOTES

Rectification of The Beliefs Comes First

Al-Allāmah Shaykh ālial-Fawzān (حفظه الله) stated:

As long as people continue to associate partners with Allāh (Shirk) and practice innovations and matters introduced into the religion, their affairs will not be rectified nor will their problems be solved. Rather, their problems will increase, just as they were in Jāhiliyyah (the period of ignorance before Islām).

So the first obligation is to rectify the Aqīdah (beliefs). And due to this fact, all of the Messengers, including the last of them, Muammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) began their call firstly with the rectification of Aqīdah.

[Ijtimā al-Kalimah wa Atharuh, (pg. 23)]
