Al-Barbahāri said: “All desires (ahwā and innovations) are evil…”

Shaikh Al-Fawzān commented: “The one who goes along with the people wherever they go, becoming a blind-follower, not thinking or examining what they are upon – this is a person of desires.”

Don't just listen and take knowledge from anyone! Ask yourself, "Are the Salafi Scholars in agreement with him?"

Al-Barbahārī and Al-Fawzān: Consider Who You Sit With And Listen To. Especially In These Times!

Imaam Al-Barbahāri رحمه الله said: ”Beware, and then beware, in particular with respect to people in your time. Look into who you sit with, and to whom you listen to, and who you accompany…”

Shaikh al-Fawzān commented:”And this is not specific to his time. Rather in every age there appear evils, and there appear misguided desires, and there appear false calls. So Barbahārī was stern in his warning to the Muslim,  so he should take heed of the warning.” See It-hāful-Qārī, vol. 2 p. 236.
