Shaykh Amad bn Yayá an-Najmī –may Allāh  have mercy on him- said:

The mans condition is not  perfected and he does not enjoy life (fully), except by (getting married to) a righteous wife. And a woman  is not tranquil and she does not enjoy  life (fully), except by (getting married to) a righteous husband.

When Allāh makes marriage easy, then let him rush to marriage...

Shaykh Ibn Bāzرَحِمَهُ اللهُ  said:

Whoever’s affair has been made easy, they should marry , even if it is before his older brother, even if it is before their older sister. He should not wait. When Allāh makes marriage easy, then let him rush to marriage.

A Righteous Wife Is...

Imām ‘Abdul-‘Azīz ibn Bāz رحمه الله said:

A righteous wife is one who is steadfast upon the commands of Allāh. She guards her Prayers by praying them at the correct times. She keeps herself far away from displaying her beautification when  she goes out to the marketplaces. She is well known for her fine conduct, appearance and behaviour. This is the righteous wife.

The Fear of Imaam Ibn Seereen (rahimahullah)

Imaam Muhammad Ibn Seereen said,

“I’ve never approached a woman while asleep or awake except Umm Abdillah”, meaning his wife. He also said, “I once saw a woman in a dream and knew that she is not permissible for me, so I turned my gaze away from her.”

A Muslim woman must also not be excessive in going out from her house unless it is for a valid necessity  that cannot be fulfilled unless she goes out. So if she has a need to go out,  she must cover herself and not go out perfumed. The reason for this is that if she goes out perfumed, it is a cause for the occurrence of evil and the drawing of looks towards her, as well as men gazing at her. So however much a woman is able to stay at home, this is more protective of her.

The Status of Women in Islaam - Ibn Baz

A man came to Allaahs Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) and said:

O Messenger of Allaah! Who from amongst mankind warrants the best companionship from me? He replied: Your mother. The man asked: Then who? So he replied: Your mother. The man then asked: Then who? So the Prophet replied again: Your mother. The man then asked: Then who? So he replied: Then your father.

(Related by al-Bukhaaree (no.5971) and Muslim (7/2), from Abu Hurayrah radiallaahu ‘anhu).

A few extract:

Shaikh Ibn Baz:

The status of the Muslim woman in Islaam is a very noble and lofty one, and her effect is very great in the life of every Muslim. Indeed, the Muslim woman is the initial teacher in the building of a righteous society, providing she follows the guidance from the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Prophet sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam. Since adherence to the Quraan and the Sunnah distances every Muslim - male or female - from being misguided in any matter...

Singing is the Incantation of Fornication

Singing is the Incantation of Fornication

Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah (رحمه الله) said:

فالغناء رقية الزنا ، وهو من أعظم الأسباب لوقوع الفواحش ، ويكون الرجل والصبي والمرأة في غاية العفة والحرية حتى يحضره ، فتنحل نفسه وتسهل عليه الفاحشة ويميل لها فاعلاً أو مفعولاً به أو كلاهما كما يحصل بين شاربي الخمر وأكثر.

“For singing is the incantation of fornication. It is from the greatest of means for the occurrence of shameful deeds. A man, child and woman are in [a state] of utmost chastity and freedom (from succumbing to desires) until they are in its presence. His soul is weakened [by it] and the shameful deed is made easy for him, he inclines to it, being either the doer or the one to whom it is done or both, similar to how it happens to the drinkers of intoxicants, or even more so.”

“Is it allowed for me to supplicate to my Lord for a marriage to a specific person?

Question: Noble Shaykh may Allāh grant you success, this lady is asking a question, saying: “Is it allowed for me to supplicate to my Lord for a marriage to a specific person, so I say: ‘O, Allāh marry me to such and such’?”

Shaykh Sālih al-Fawzān: ‘Yes; there is no harm in that if she asks for him due to his religion (i.e., he is upright in his religion); if she likes him due to his religion she supplicates to Allāh with that (supplication).’

Having Boyfriends & Girlfriends – Shaykh Uthaymeen

Having Boyfriends & Girlfriends – Shaykh Uthaymeen

What is the ruling on a man and woman who kiss, and do everything else other than intercourse?

These actions which you mentioned are impermissible, haram upon them, because Allah – the Most High- says:

And those who guard their chastity (i.e private parts, from illegal sexual acts) except from their  wives or that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame, but whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; Al-Muminoon 5-7

And His statement – The One free from deficiency, the Most High:

And come not near to the unlawful sexual intercourse. Verily, it is  a Fahishah [i.e. anything that transgress its limits (a great sin)], and an evil way (that leads one to Hell unless Allah forgives him). Al Israa- 32

And He did not say, and do not fornicate, for the reason of tackling everything that is a cause and leads to fornication, and this, what they are doing, is zina of the hand by touching, zina of the eye by looking, zina of the feet by walking (to do that which is haraam), this is impermissible for them, upon them is to repent from it.

And upon those in responsibility is to educate them and dissuade them from the likes of these actions, and avert them from this sin.

The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam) did not prohibit being alone with a strange woman (one who it is not permissible to be alone with) except fearing from this action and its likes.

So you, may Allah give you success, advise them, with that which is upon you, and warn them from this, the impermissibility of this is clear and is present in the books of tafseer, books of hadeeth, books of fiqh, all of them, and it is not allowed and it is impermissible.

"Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their private parts; that will make for greater purity for them. Indeed, Allāh is well acquainted with all that they do." [an-Nur (24):30]

Imaam ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) mentioned that from the benefits in lowering the gaze:

أنه يمنع من وصول أثر السهم المسموم الذي لعل فيه هلاكه إلى قلبه

It prevents the effects of the poisonous arrow from reaching his heart, which may lead to his destruction.

Striving For Ones Family (Excerpt)

----

Upon the authority of Ka’b ibn ‘Ujrah – Radhiyallahu Anhu – Who said:

“A man passed by the Prophet – Sallallahu alaihi Was Salam and the Companions of the Messenger of Allah – Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Salam saw his hardiness, striving and his briskness, so they said: Oh Messenger of Allah! If only this was ‘fee sabeelillah’ (In the way of Allah)! So the Messenger of Allah – Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Was Salam said: “If he has left out striving for his young son, then he is ‘fee sabeelillah’, and if he left out striving for his elderly parents, then he is fee sabeelillah, and if left out striving for the virtue and chastity of his own soul, then he is ‘fee sabeellillah’. But if he set out to be seen of the people, and to contend with others in mutual boasting then he is fee sabeelish Shaytaan! (In the path of Shaytaan!)“

(Collected by Imaamut Tabaraani in ‘Mu’jam Al Kabeer (282) and declared ‘Saheeh’ by Shaikh Al Albaani in ‘Saheehul Jaami’ (1428)

Foundation of righteous communities is the wife –Shaykh Al-Fawzaan

Shaykh Al-Fawzaan admonishes in one of his sermons:

رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ

And those who say:

“Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes,”

Soorah Al-Furqaan Verse 74

So they began their supplication with the wives (i.e. due to the importance of having righteous wives)

Ibn Taymiyyah on Loving a Woman Unrestrictedly

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Ibn Taymiyyah: Anyone who attaches his heart to the creation for aid, provision or guidance will inevitably surrender his heart to it. He becomes enslaved to it (the creation) according to how much he is in need of it, even if- apparently- he seems to be the master and provider who is in charge  of its affairs. The intelligent one looks at the reality of things, not its appearance.

If a man is (greatly) in love with a woman, even if she was permissible for him, his heart will remain in her captivity. She will be in charge of him and do with him as she pleases. Although he outwardly appears to be her master, because he is her husband, in reality, he is her captive and her possession, especially if she is aware of his unrestricted love and dire need for her, and that (he thinks) she is irreplaceable.

Indeed, the captivity of the heart is worse than the captivity of the body, as the enslavement of the heart is worse than the enslavement  of the body.
