And whoever turns away from Allaah's reminder - indeed, he will have a miserable life...

124. "But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (i.e. neither believes in this Qur’ān nor acts on its teachings.) verily, for him is a life of hardship, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Resurrection.”

[Sūrah ā Hā 20:124]

Indeed, the Promise of Allaah is True!

35. Verily, the Muslims (those who submit to Allāh in Islām) men and women, the believers men and women (who believe in Islāmic Monotheism), the men and the women who are obedient (to Allāh), the men and women who are truthful (in their speech and deeds), the men and women who are patient (in performing all the duties which Allāh has ordered and in abstaining from all that Allāh has forbidden), the men and the women who are humble (before their Lord- Allāh), the men and the women who give Sadaqāt (i.e. Zakāt, and alms), the men and the women who observe Saum (fast) the obligatory fasting during the month of Ramadān, and the optional Nawāfil fasting), the men and the women who guard their chastity (from illegal sexual acts) and the men and the women who remember Allāh much with their hearts and tongues – Allāh has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise).

A true believer of (Islamic Monotheism) is obedient to Allaah and His Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم) and follows the Qur'aan and Prophet's Sunnah.

27. O you who believe! Betray not Allāh and His Messenger, nor betray knowingly  your Amānāt (things entrusted to you, and all the duties which Allāh has ordained for you).

28. And know that your possessions and your children are but a trial and that surely with Allāh is a mighty reward.

29. O you who believe! If you obey and fear Allāh He will grant you Furqān [(a criterion to judge between right and wrong), or (Makhraj, i.e. a way for you to get out from difficulty)], and will expiate for you your sins, and forgive you; and Allāh is the Owner of the Great Bounty.

None has the knowledge of the Unseen except Allaah -

33. O mankind! Be afraid of your Lord (by keeping your duty to Him and avoiding all evil), and fear a Day when no father can avail aught for his son, nor a son avail aught for his father. Verily, the Promise of Allāh is true: let not then this (worldly) present life deceive you, nor let the chief deceiver (Satan) deceive you about Allāh.

34. Verily, Allāh, with Him (Alone) is the knowledge of the Hour, He sends down the rain, and knows that which is in the wombs. No person knows what he will earn tomorrow, and no person knows in what land he will die. Verily, Allāh is All-Knower, Well-Acquianted (with things).

Indeed, the effect (or fruitful outcome) is great indeed

97. Whoever works righteousness  - whether male or female  - while he (or she) is a true believer (of Islāmic Monotheism) verily, to him We will give a good life  (in this world with respect, contentment and lawful provision), and We shall pay them certainly a reward in proportion to the best of what they used to do (i.e. Paradise in the Hereafter).

Allah put the night and the day in succession, for such who desires to remember Him, contemplates on the difference between them, thanking and show gratitude to Him.‎

205. And remember your Lord within yourself, humbly and with fear and without loudness in words in the mornings, and in the afternoons and be not of those who are neglectful.

The way to avoid the different forms of trial is adhering to Allah's Book and the Sunnah of the Prophet

63. Make not the calling of the Messenger  (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) among you as your calling one of another. Allāh knows those of you who slip away under shelter (of some excuse without taking the permission to leave, from the Messenger And let those who oppose the Messenger’s (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) commandment (i.e. his Sunnah – legal ways, orders, acts of worship, statements) (among the sects) beware, lest some Fitnah (disbelief, trials, afflictions, earthquakes, killing, overpowered by a tyrant) should befall them or a painful torment be inflicted on them.

64. Certainly, to Allāh belongs all that is in the heaven and the earth. Surely, He knows your condition and (He knows) the Day when they will be brought back to Him, then He will inform them of what they did. And Allāh is All-Knower of everything.

Allah سبحانه و تعالى knows those who truly believe and He is Best Aware of what the hypocrites conceal.

9. And for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allāh and the other articles of Faith) and do righteous good deeds, surely, We shall make them enter with  (in the entrance of) the righteous  (in Paradise).

10. Of mankind are some who say: “We believe in Allāh.” But if they are made to suffer for the sake of Allāh , they consider the trial of mankind as Allāh’s punishment; and if victory comes from your Lord, (the hypocrites) will say: “Verily, we were with you (helping you).” Is not Allāh Best Aware of what is in the breasts of the Ālamīn (mankind and jinn).

11. Verily, Allāh knows those who believe, and verily, He knows the hypocrites [i.e. Allāh will test the people with good and hard days to discriminate the good from the wicked, although Allāh knows all that before putting them to test].

12. And those who disbelieve say to those who believe: “Follow our way and we will verily bear your sins.” Never will they bear anything of their sins. Surely, they are liars.

13. And verily, they shall bear their own loads, and other loads besides their own; and verily, they shall be questioned on the Day of Resurrection about that which they used to fabricate.

Calamities/Divine Punishment (i.e. earthquake, plague, flood, oppression, humiliation from the enemies, colonization of a muslim countries, murdering of innocent civilians, chaos etc.) only descends because of sins and disobedience and it cannot be remove except by way of sincere repentance and turning to Him (Allaah) Alone in worship.

54. Say: “Obey Allāh and obey the Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم), but if you turn away, he (Messenger Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) is only responsible for the duty placed on him (i.e. to convey Allāh’s Message) and you for that placed on you. If you obey him, you shall be on the right guidance. The Messenger’s duty is only to convey (the message) in a clear way (i.e. to preach in a plain way).”

55. Allāh has promised those among you who believe and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession to (the present rulers) in the land, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practice their religion which He has chosen for them (i.e. Islām). And He will surely give them in exchange a safe security after their fear (provided) they (believers) worship Me and do not associate anything (in worship) with Me. But whoever disbelieve after this, they are the Fāsiqūn (rebellious, disobedient to Allāh).

56. And perform As-Salāt (Iqamat-as-Salāt), and give Zakāt and obey the Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) that you may receive mercy (from Allāh).

57. Consider not that the disbelievers can escape in the land. Their abode shall be the Fire – worst indeed is that destination.

Returning To Allah Is The Solution – By Abu Idrees Muhammad Khān

Wednesday, October 18, 2023

Great reward comes with great trials and whoever accepts it attains Allah's pleasure.

In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

الم

1. Alif-Lām –Mīm.

[These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’ān, and none but Allāh (Alone) knows their meanings.]

2. Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: ‘We believe,’ and will not be tested?

3. And We indeed tested those who were before them. And Allāh will certainly make (it) known  (the truth of) those who are true, and will certainly make (it) known (the falsehood of) those who are liars, (although Allāh knows all that before putting them to test).

4. Or think those who do evil deeds that they can outstrip Us (i.e. escape Our punishment)? Evil is that which they judge!

5. Whoever hopes for the Meeting with Allāh, then Allāh’s Term is surely coming and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.

6. And whosoever strives, he strives only for himself. Verily, Allāh stands not in need of any of the ‘Ālamīn (mankind, jinn, and all that exists).

7. Those who believe [in the Oneness of Allāh (Monotheism) and in Messenger Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم, and do not give up their faith because of the harm they receive from the polytheists], and do righteous good deeds, surely, We shall expiate from them their evil deeds and shall reward them according to the best of that which they used to do.

Trials and Tribulation is a sign that Allaah loves good for us

126. See they not that they are put in trial once or twice every year (with different kinds of calamities, disease, famine)? Yet, they turn not in repentance, nor do they learn a lesson (from it).

al-Hilâlî & Muhsin Khân Translation , The Noble Qur'ân, Sūrah 9.At-Taubah  Ayah 126

Surah Ash-Shūra (verse 42:20)

Allaah said:

“Whosoever desires  (by his deeds) the reward of the Hereafter, We give him increase in his reward, and whosoever desires the reward of this world (by his deeds), We give him thereof (what is decreed for him), and he has no portion in the Hereafter.

Your Limbs Will Testify On The Day of Reckoning (i.e Judgement) Against You!

20. Till, when they reach it (Hell-fire), their hearing (ears) and their eyes, and their skins will testify against them as to what they used to do.

21. And they will say to their skins, “Why do you testify against us?” They will say: “Allāh has caused us to speak as He causes all things to speak, and He created you the first time, and to Him you are made to return.”

22. And you have not been hiding yourselves (in the world), lest you ears, your eyes, and your skins should testify against you; but you thought that Allāh knew not much of what you were doing.

23. And that thought of yours which you thought about your Lord, has brought you to destruction; and you have become (this Day) of those utterly lost!

Allaah never fails in His promise

50. So those who believe (in the Oneness of Allāh – Islāmic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, for them is forgiveness and Rizqun Karīm (generous provision, i.e. Paradise).

al-Hilâlî & Muhsin Khân Translation , The Noble Qur'ân, Sūrah 22. Al-Hajj Ayah 50.

Don't be deluded or impressed by your deeds!

8. Is he, then, to whom the evil of his deeds is made  fair-seeming, so that he considers it as good (equal to one who is rightly guided)? Verily, Allâh sends astray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. So destroy not yourself (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) in sorrow for them.Truly, Allâh is All-Knower of what they do!

Allaah is full of Mercy no matter how numerous out sins may be...

Surah 8. Al-Anfal verse 73 (Tafsir At-Tabari)

73. And those who disbelieve are allies of one another, (and) if you  (Muslims of the whole world collectively) do not do so [i.e. become allies, as one united block under one Khalifah (a chief Muslim ruler for the whole Muslim world) to make victorious Allāh’s religion of Islāmic Monotheism], there will be Fitnah (wars, battles, polytheism) and oppression on the earth, a great mischief and corruption (appearance of polytheism).[1]

-----------------------------------------------------------------

[1] (V.8:73) It has been mentioned in Tafsir At-Tabarī, that the best interpretation of this Verse: - [“And those who disbelieve are allies of one another, (and) if you  (Muslims of the whole world collectively) do not do so [i.e. become allies, as one united block – V.8:73).”] is “That if you do not do what We (Allāh) have ordered you to do, [i.e. all of you (Muslims of the whole world) do not become allies as one united block to make Allāh’s  religion (Islām) victorious, there will be a great Fitnah (polytheism, wars, battles, killing, robbing, a great mischief, corruption and oppression.) And it is Fitnah to have many Khalifahs (Muslim rulers), as it has been mentioned in Sahīh Muslim by ‘Arfajah, who said: I heard Allāh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم saying: “When you all (Muslims) are united (as one block) under a single Khalifah (chief Muslim ruler), a man comes up to disintegrate you and separate you into different groups, then kill that man.”

Also there is another narration in Sahih Muslim: Narrated by Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri رضي الله عنه: Allāh’s Messenger  صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “If the Muslim world gave the Bai’a (pledge) to two Khalifahs (chief Muslim rulers), the first one who has given the Bai’a (pledge) first will remain as the Khalifah, then kill the latter (the second) one.”

So it is a legal obligation, from the above-mentioned evident proofs (from the Qur’ān and the Prophet’s statement), that there shall not be more than one Khalifah (a chief Muslim ruler) for the whole muslim world or otherwise there will be a great Fitnah (mischief and evil.) amongst the Muslims, the ultimate results of which will not be worthy of praise.

And Who Are The Successful?

In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

1. Alif-Lām-Mīm. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’ān and none but Allāh (Alone) knows their meanings.]

2. This is the Book (the Qur’ān), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqūn [the pious believers of Islāmic Monotheism who fear Allāh much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allāh much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)].

3. Who believe in the Ghaib[1] and perform As-Salāt (Iqāmas-as-Salāt),[2]  and spend out of what We have provided for them [i.e. give Zakāt,[3] spend on themselves, their parents, their children, their wives, etc., and also give charity to the poor and also in Allāh’s Cause –Jihād].

4. And who believe in that (the Qur’ān and the Sunnah)[1] which has been sent down (revealed) to you (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) and in that which was sent down before you [the Taurāt (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), etc.] and they believe with certainty in the Hereafter (Resurrection, recompense of their good and bad deeds, Paradise and Hell).

5. They are on (true) guidance from their Lord, and they are the successful.

----------------------------

[1](V. 2:3) Al-Ghaib: literally means a thing not seen. But this word includes vast meanings: Belief in Allāh, Angels, Holy Books, Allāh’s Messengers, Day of Resurrection and Al-Qadar (Divine Pre-ordainments). It also includes what Allāh and His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم informed about the knowledge of the matters of past, present, and future e.g., news about the creation of the heavens and earth, botanical and zoological life, the news about the nations of the past, and about Paradise and Hell.

[2] (V.2:3) Iqāmat-as-Salāt: إقامة الصلاة The performance of Sālat (prayers). It means that: a) Each and every Muslim, male or female, is obliged to offer his Salāt (prayers) regularly five times a day at the specified times; the male in the mosque in congregation and as for the female , it is better to offer them at home. As the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Order your children for Salāt (prayers) at the age of seven and beat them (about it) at the age of ten.”The chief (of a family, town, tribe, etc.) and the Muslim rulers of a country are held responsible  before Allāh in case of non-fulfillment of this obligation by the muslims under their authority.

b) One must offer the Salāt (prayers) as the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم used to offer them with all their rules and regulations, i.e., standing, bowing, prostrating, sitting, as he صلى الله عليه وسلم has said: “Offer your Salāt (prayers) the way you see me offering them (See Sahīh Al-Bukhārī, Vol. 1, H.No. 604 and Vol. 9, H.No. 352).” [For the characteristics of the Salāt (prayers) of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم see Sahīh Al-Bukhārī, Vol. 1, H.No  702, 703, 704, 723, 786, 787].

[3] (V. 2:3) Zakāt: زكاة A certain fixed proportion of the wealth and of each and every kind of property liable to Zakāt of a Muslim to be paid yearly for the benefit of the poor in the Muslim community. The payment of Zakāt is obligatory as it is one of the five pillars of Islām. Zakāt is the major economic means for establishing social justice and leading the Muslim society to prosperity and security. [See Sahīh Al-Bukhārī, Vol. 2, Book of Zakāt, No. 24]

[1] (V. 2:4) Narrated Ibn ‘Umar رضى الله عنهما : Allāh’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said: Islām is based on (the following) five principles):

1. To testify that “La ilāha illallāh wa anna Muhammad-ur-Rasūl Allāh” (none has the right to be worshipped but Allāh and that Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم is the Messenger of Allāh).

2. Iqāmat-as-Salāt: to perform  the five (compulsory congregational) Salāt (prayers).

3. To pay Zakāt (obligatory charity).

4. To perform Hajj (i.e. pilgrimage to Makkah).

5. To observe Saum (fasting) during the month of Ramadan.
