Being Consistent in Memorising the Speech of Allah - Abu Muadh Taqweem Aslam | Salafi Audio Unlimited

NOTE: 6:28 mins Q&A session

QUESTION: What do you advice with learning & memorising the speech of Allah, ways of being persistent?...

…there are several things that Scholars have mentioned about memorisation. Firstly they say as a prerequisite, you as an individual yourself look at your state of uprightness and your state in terms of sinning. If you are a person who is a sinner and has a lot of shortcoming with your obedience as a whole then you can expect that your memory will be affected and be in correlation to your level of your obedience and your state as a worshipper of Allah as a whole. So if you want to strengthen your memory, strengthen your obedience & your worship of Allah as a whole with all of your affairs; in your prayer, in your obedience to your parents,  in all of the mannerisms of obedience to Allah and that will impact on your ability to be able to memorise - abandoning your sins  but if you are a person who is constant upon sins then you cannot expect that you will become persistent or strong in memorisation.

Had We sent down this Qur’ân on a mountain, you would surely have seen it humbling itself and rent asunder by the fear of Allâh. Such are the parables which We put forward to mankind that they may reflect. (Surah Al-Hasr 59: 21)

21. Had We sent down this Qurân on a mountain, you would surely have seen it humbling itself and rent asunder by the fear of Allâh. Such are the parables which We put forward to mankind that they may reflect.[2]

[2](V. 59:21) Narrated Jâbir bin ‘Abdullâh رضي الله عنهما: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم used to stand by a tree or a date-palm on Friday. Then an Ansâri woman or man said, ‘O Allâh’s Messenger! Shall we make a pulpit for you?” He replied, “If you wish.” So they made a pulpit for him and when it was Friday, he proceeded towards the pulpit [for delivering the Khutbah (religious talk)]. The date-palm cried like a child! The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم descended (from the pulpit) and embraced it while continued moaning like a child being quietened. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “It was crying for (missing) what it used to hear of religious knowledge given near it.”

Remembering Allaah a lot

REMEMBERING ALLAAH A LOT

Translated By Abbas Abu Yahya

Shaykh Rabee al-Madkhali quoted the hadeeth and commented:

‘The Messenger of Allaah said:

مَن قَالَ: سُبحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمدِهِ فِي يَومٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ حُطَّت خَطَايَاهُ، وَإِن كَانَت مِثلَ زَبَدِ البَحرِ »

Whoever says: –

Far is Allaah from imperfection and all praise is for Him

Subhana allaahi wa bihamdihi

One hundred times in one day, then his mistakes / sins are negated, even if they are like the foam on the ocean.’

Collected by Bukhari and Muslim

Look at this – O believers – you can easily say this, whilst you are walking, riding, or falling asleep, one hundred times in one day and Allaah will take away all your mistakes.

Allaah is the greatest. This is an excellence from Allaah -Tabaraka wa Ta’ala.

So increase in making Dhikr of Allaah O youth, increase in sending Salat upon the Prophet since in doing so there is a lot of goodness.

Obey Allaah and His Messenger in all your matters.

Dear brothers, do not forget that this forgiveness and cancellation of sins is only for lesser sins, so, it is necessary to keep far away from the major sins:

Those who avoid great sins and Al-Fawahish (illegal intercourse, etc.) except the small faults

It is necessary to avoid the major sins, and they are not forgiven except with sincere repentance.

Therefore, we remember Allaah a lot, and we keep far away from the major sins, so much so that when we remember Allaah -Tabaraka wa Ta’ala-  with the likes of these Adhkaar which are mentioned, then our bad deeds fall off us and our status is raised with Allaah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala.

SELF-AMAZEMENT - the deceptions of Shayṭān

 alrahmaniyyah.com

...

We find in the narration collected by Imām Muslim (رَحِمَهُ اللهُ) on the authority of Abū Hurayrah (رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ):

بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ يَتَبَخْتَرُ ، يَمْشِي فِي بُرْدَيْهِ قَدْ أَعْجَبَتْهُ نَفْسُهُ، فَخَسَفَ اللهُ بِهِ الْأَرْضَ، فَهُوَ يَتَجَلْجَلُ فِيهَا إِلَى يَوْمِ القِيَامَةِ

While a man was strutting haughtily in his garments, amazed with himself, Allāh caused the  earth to swallow him up, and he will continue to sink into the earth until the Day of  Resurrection.1

Another wording mentions  that the man was preoccupied with combing his hair. Al-Qurubi (رَحْمَةِ ٱللَّهِ) said: This self-indulgence is when a person  looks at himself with amazement, forgetting the blessing of Allāh.2

The Fiqh of the Scholars vs The Barbarism of I.S.I.S

 www.Masjidashshura.org/

Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Saalih Al-Uthaymeen said: If you want to kill a mouse – and killing them is recommended – then kill it with Ihsaan. Kill it with that which will remove it’s soul right away and not cause harm to it. From that which causes harm to it (the mouse) is that which some people do from placing sticky (traps) down for it then the mouse sticks to it and is left to die hungry and thirsty. This is not permissible. If you place one of these traps down you must repeatedly check and watch it so that if you find anything on it you can kill it (right away). As for leaving it for two and three days such that a mouse lands upon it and is made to die hungry and thirsty it is feared that you will enter the fire due to this. For the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: A woman entered the fire due to a cat which she locked up and did not feed, nor did she allow it to roam freely so that it may eat from the vermin of the land.

Religion is very easy

And the statement of the Prophet :صلى الله عليه وسلم “The most beloved religion to Allâh عز وجل is the tolerant Hanifiyyah [i.e., Islâmic Monotheism, i.e., to worship Him (Allâh) Alone and not to worship anything else along with Him.]”

Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near to perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by offering the Salât (prayers) in the mornings, afternoons and during the last hours of the nights.”

Don't Let Thieves Steal Your Wealth!

MasjidFurqan.com.uk/

It is said that the liar is a thief because the thief steals your wealth and the liar steals your intellect [i.e. he or she deceives you].

[Adabud Dunyaa Wad-Deen’, page 261 By Al-Maawardee (rahimahullaah)]

“And verily, this is my Straight Path, so follow it, and follow not other paths, for they will separate you away from His Path. This He has ordained for you that you may become pious.” (Al-An`ām: 153)

...

Ibrāheem Ibn ‘Abdir-Rahmān al-‘Adhari (rahimahullāh) said that Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said:

يَحْمِلُ هَذَا الْعِلْمَ مِنْ كُلِّ خَلَفٍ عُدُولُهُ ، يَنْفُونَ عَنْهُ تَحْرِيفَ الْغَالِينَ ، وَانْتِحَالِ الْمُبْطِلِينَ ، وَتَأْوِيلِ الْجَاهِلِينَ

This knowledge will be carried by the trustworthy ones of every generation. They will expel from it the distortions of the extremists, the fabrications of the liars and the interpretations of the ignorant.”

(Hasan; Reported by Ibn Qutaibah in `Ayoonul-Akhbār, 2/118; al-Bayhaqee in Sunan al-Kubrā, 10/209; al-Ājurree in Ash-Sharee`ah, 1-2; See Mishkāt al-Masābeeh, 248.)

Sideeq Hasan Khan (rahimahullah) stated in Ad-Deen al-Khālis (3/261-263) in explanation of this narration (abridged): Meaning: the knowledge of the Book and Sunnah ― this knowledge will be carried by every group of people that comes after the Salaf, the trustworthy ones from amongst them and narrators of it. They will expel from it the distortions of those who go beyond the limits, meaning: those who change the affairs of religion by going beyond its limits. Tahreef means to replace the truth with falsehood by changing the words or changing the meanings. The fabrications of the liars, meaning: they ward off the lies of the people of falsehood. Intihāl is to claim something for oneself falsely such as poetry or speech or other than that ― so it is a substitute term for kadhib (lying). The interpretations of the ignorant, meaning: they protect [the religion] from their interpretations wherein they interpret the verses and narrations without knowledge and without understanding ― and they alter them from their apparent meanings.

And so judge (you O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) among them by what Allâh has revealed and follow not their vain desires, but beware of them lest they turn you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) far away from some of that which Allâh has sent down to you. Who Should Be Your Companion? Golden Advice of Sufyan Ath-Thawree (d.161H)

Advice of Sufyan Al-Thawree (rahimahullah) to Alee ibn Al-Hasan As-Sulamee:

Your companion should be the one who prevents you from being preoccupied with things of the worldly life that will divert you from Allaah, and one who makes you desire and work for the Hereafter.

Beware of accompanying people who make the dunyah their goal, those who are engrossed in speaking about the worldly life; indeed they will corrupt your religion and your heart.

Remember death much, and seek a lot of forgiveness from what has passed of your sins, and ask Allaah for safety for what remains of your life.

The disbeliever will wish to remain in the torment of the grave

The disbeliever will wish to remain in the torment of the grave

Explained by Shaykh Fawzan

Shaykh Fawzan: As for the disbeliever, the punishment of the grave will not be interrupted for him. Thus, he will remain in the punishment of the grave. And yet, he will wish to remain in the grave because the Hellfire is more severe than this punishment. He will say, ‘O my Lord do not establish the Hour1!’ The disbeliever and the hypocrite will say, ‘O my Lord do not establish the Hour’ (meaning the Day of Judgment). They will wish to remain in the grave and remain patient with the punishment of the grave because it is less severe than the punishment of the Hellfire. And with Allah refuge is sought.

Upon You Is To Follow The Narrations Of The Salaf [i.e. the pious predecessors]

 masjidfurqan.co.uk/

Imaam Al-Awzaaee said:

It is obligated on you is to follow the narrations of those who have preceded [i.e. the pious predecessors] even if the people reject you. And beware of the opinions of men even if they beautify it with their speech.

Reported by Imaam Dhahabee in Al-Uluww, page. 138

 ---------------------------------------

Powerful Reminder by Dr Abdulilah Lahmami (Allah preserve and protect him).

Upon every person is to follow the narrations. We should be firm upon this and not waver, even if the people oppose or abandon us. Because the Sunnah is more beloved to the Muslim than any worldly gain and praise – because within it lies salvation from the hell-fire. And bid’ah is the door toward shirk, and the cause of many to fall into the hell fire. So no matter how many people abandon and oppose you, then it is important to stick to narrations of the sahaabah, and the salaf. So that your end is the best end with Allah.
