A Righteous Wife Is...

Imām ‘Abdul-‘Azīz ibn Bāz رحمه الله said:

A righteous wife is one who is steadfast upon the commands of Allāh. She guards her Prayers by praying them at the correct times. She keeps herself far away from displaying her beautification when  she goes out to the marketplaces. She is well known for her fine conduct, appearance and behaviour. This is the righteous wife.

The Ruling of the Effects of the Tattoo Remaining on the Body

The Ruling of the Effects of the Tattoo Remaining on the Body

Shaykh Abdul Azeez bin Abdullaah bin Baz –Rahimahullaah- (d. 1420 A.H.) said:

When a Muslim gets tattooed whilst in a state of ignorance of it being prohibited, or whilst he was young, then it is necessary for him to remove them after having knowledge that it is prohibited. However, if there is a hardship in removing it or harm, then repentance and seeking forgiveness is sufficient.

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz (rahimahullaah) warns against Riyaa!

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz (rahimahullaah) said:

Riyaa is that you perform an act (of worship) and intend that the people see you, praise and commend you. And from that is to perform an act (of worship) in order to be heard, such as reading (the Qur’aan) in order that you are praised and that it is said: ”Indeed, his reading is good and beautiful”; or you perform a lot of Dhikr in order that you are praised and it is said: “He performs a lot of dhikr;” or you enjoin good and forbid evil so that you are praised and commended. This is Riyaa and Shirk Asghar. Therefore, it is obligatory to be mindful of this and that you perform your deeds for the Sake of Allaah alone; and not for the people, their praises and commendations for you; rather you learn in order to act and teach your brothers. And you lead them in the prayer whilst hoping for the reward from Allaah and intending to benefit them, and not out of an intention to be seen or heard.

A Powerful Statement

Ibn Baz (May Allah have mercy upon him) said:

The statement la hawla  wa la quwwata illa bi Allaah (there is no might nor power except with Allaah) is a powerful statement that a lot  of it should be said: in the morning, evening and every time.

Hasten towards obedience to Allaah

In The Name of Allaah The Most Merciful The Bestower of Mercy.

Imaam Abdul Azeez Bin Baaz (rahimahullaah) said:

Whoever exercises patience during times of affliction, thankful during times of ease, submissive to Allaah (Glorified be He) when calamities occur, expresses disappointment about himself to Allaah, due to his sins and shortcomings, and seeks Allaah’s Mercy and Forgiveness, then indeed he [or she] will succeed with all success and with a praiseworthy end...

---------------------------------------------

A few extract

.....

Disbelief and sins are the cause of every affliction and evil in this life and the next. As for Tawheed, belief in Allaah and His Messengers, obedience to Allaah and His Messengers, holding fast to Allaah’s Sharee’ah and calling to it, and rejecting what is in opposition to it, this is the cause of every good in this life and the hereafter.  And adhering firmly to it, enjoining it and co-operating upon it is the [real] source of honour in this life and the hereafter, safety from every hated thing and protection from every Fitnah, as Allaah [The Most High] said:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِن تَنصُرُوا اللَّهَ يَنصُرْكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَكُمْ

O you who believe! If you help (in the cause of) Allah, He will help you, and make your foothold firm. 47:7

Tawhid, Islam, Faith and Salvation

Shaykh Ibn Baaz (رحمه الله تعالى رحمة واسعة) said:

Tawhid, Islam, faith or salvation can only be achieved by seeking Allah (عز وجل) alone with worship and believing that He is the Possessor of the Kingdom and the One who manages the affairs of His creatures; He is Perfect in His Self, Attributes, Names and Actions; He is the Lord of the Universe and there is no partner with Him or anyone to prevent His Judgment…

Returning money to its own owner to be free from guilt

Returning money to its own owner to be free from guilt

The third question of Fatwa no. 12228

Question 3: I have owed 150 riyals to someone for four years. I did not repay him. Moreover, he does not know anything about it. If I repay this money to him, he will insult me as he is obscene. What is the ruling in this case?

Answer: You have to repay the money to the person to whom money is due in a secret way. You will not acquit yourself of this sin except by doing so.

May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.

Qur’an and Sunnah contain Adhkar and supplications for refuge and protection against all physical and psychological diseases - (Fatwas of Ibn Baz volume 9)

 .....

My wife suffers from a certain disease that causes her to fear every thing and not to be able to be alone at home while another questioner mentioned that he suffers from the same problem to the extent that he can not go to the Masjid (mosque) to perform Salah (Prayer) with the congregation. He asked for a remedy for his disease away from soothsayers and charlatans.

The Shaykh advised the two questioners along with all those who are concerned to use the Adhkar (invocations and remembrances said at certain times on a regular basis) which are ordained by Allah (Exalted be He) that achieve safety, tranquility, peace and protection against Satan's tricks.

Among these Adhkar is reciting Ayat-ul-Kursy (the Qur’anic Verse of Allah’s Chair, Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:255): Allāh! Lā ilāha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), Al-Hayyul-Qayyum (the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists).

His Eminence Shaykh Ibn Baz described Ayat-ul-Kursy as being the best and greatest Ayah (Qur’anic verse) for it stresses the principle of Tawhid (belief in the Oneness of Allah) and devotion to Allah (Glorified be He). It also shows Allah’s Majesty and that He is the Ever Living, the Owner of everything and nothing weakens Him (may He be Glorified and Praised). The Shaykh continued saying that when a person reads this Ayah after each Salah and before going to bed, it protects him against all evils.

The Shaykh then quoted the Sahih (authentic) Hadith in which the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Whoever recites Ayat Al-Kursi on going to bed, Allah will assign an angel to protect them and Satan will not approach them until the morning.

The Shaykh asked the questioners to try this proven prescription so that their hearts may be tranquil and that they do not see any harmful thing because the Prophet (peace be upon him) only told about the undoubted truth.

Our eminent Shaykh emphasized that Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) ordained that every male and female Muslim is to recite Surah (Qur’anic chapter) Al-Ikhlas and Al-Mu`awwidhatayn (Surahs Al-Falaq and Al-Nas) after performing every obligatory Salah. He continued that doing so is one of the causes of being healthy, safe, and cure from all diseases. In addition, the reward that a person receives for reciting Surah Al-Ikhlas equals that which they receive for reciting one third of the Qur’an.

Shaykh `Abdul-`Aziz ibn Baz pointed out that it is a Sunnah (a commendable act) that a person recites the three Surahs mentioned above three times after Fajr (Dawn) Prayer, Maghrib (Sunset) Prayer, and when going to bed for there are Sahih Hadith to this effect.

Eeman (Faith) Increases and Decreases

.....

According to Ahl-ul-Sunnah wal-Jama`ah (adherents to the Sunnah and the Muslim mainstream), faith is shown through words and deeds and it increases and decreases. It increases if a person obeys and remembers Allah and decreases if they are heedless and commit sins.

When the slaves repent to Allāh...

Shaykh ʿAbdul-ʿAzīz bn Bāz رَحِمَهُ الله said:

When the slaves repent to their Lord, earnestly invoke Him, hasten to what pleases Him, cooperate upon righteousness and piety, mutually enjoin one another with good and forbid one another from evil, Allāh will rectify their affairs, suffice them of the evil of their enemies, grant them authority in the land, aid them over their enemy, bestow upon them His favours, and divert His wrath from them.

A Cure for the Hardness of the Heart

A Cure for the Hardness of the Heart

The best of what has been advised with to cure the heart and the hardness of the heart is giving attention to the Noble Qur'aan, reflecting upon it, reading it often and remembering Allaah the Exalted and Glorious often.

Reading Qur'aan with reflection and remembering Allaah often, saying SubhaanAllaah walhamdulillah wa laa ilaaha illAllaah wAllaahu akbar, and SubhaanAllaahi wa bihamdihi SubhaanAllaahil Adheem, laa ilaaha illAllaah wahdahu laa shareeka lah lahulmulk walahul hamd yuhyee wa yumeet wa huwa 'alaa kulli shayin qadeer. All of these are reasons for the removal of the hardness of the heart.
