Abdul Azeez (may Allaah have mercy upon him) said:
O Muslims!
It is obligatory that we hold onto the Rope of Allaah (i.e. the Qur’aan),
follow the Sunnah of Allaah’s Messenger Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah
be upon him), follow the guidance of the Messenger, act on Allaah’s orders and
keep away from what Allaah has forbidden. Indeed, every speech that is not
followed by action is false. There can be no rectification for the Muslims
except through their unity in singling out their Lord in (His Lordship, Names
and Attributes and worshipping Him alone and associate none to Him as a partner
in Worship). [And with regards to] every differing that leads to splitting and
division, the Religion commands us to hold onto Allaah’s Sharee’ah, enjoin one
another with the truth and patience, just as Allaah (The Most High) commanded
us in the Qur’aan. We should be truly acquainted with our Lord and seek His Aid
and Assistance. We do not fear except the (consequences of) our sins and it is
obligated on the Muslims to follow Allaah’s Religion and obey all that Allaah
has ordered - practically. In this is the (means of) rectifying their worldly
affairs and the upright establishment of all their (other) affairs.

According to Ahl-ul-Sunnah wal-Jama`ah (adherents to the Sunnah and the Muslim mainstream), faith is shown through words and deeds and it increases and decreases. It increases if a person obeys and remembers Allah and decreases if they are heedless and commit sins.

Ahmad Al-Najmi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
“In
order to be acquainted with the straight path one has to return to the Quran
and the Sunnah, and that which has been affirmed in the seerah of the
Prophet ﷺ, the actions of
the rightly guided caliphs and rightly guided scholars who came after them and
this cannot be known except from the Hadith and by way of it, one will
become acquainted with understanding in the religion and the rulings of the Sharee’ah,
the actions of the Sahaabah and their creed, the actions of the early
rightly guided imams - those who
(transmitted and based their lives on) hadeeth and were people of sound
creed. Therefore, it is obligated on you to (adhere) to that; strive in (this
path) and do everything within your capability to be acquainted with it.”

Shaikh Muhammad Bn Nāsirid-Dīn Al-Albānī (رحمه الله):
The foundations of the Salafī da’wah is established
upon three pillars:
- The Noble Qur’ān
- The Authentic Sunnah
- Understanding them
upon the methodology of the pious predecessors; from the companions, the tābi’ūn and their successors.
And
the reason for the misguidance of all the (misguided groups); both ancient and
modern is not holding firm to the three pillars.

As-Salafī for Pristine Methodology (Pure Salafiyyah)]
The Hadeeth of Jibril
Abu Huraira reported:
One day the Messenger of
Allaah (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) appeared before the public that a man
came to him and said: Prophet of Allaah, (tell me) what is Eeman. Upon this he
(the Prophet) replied: That you affirm your faith in Allaah, His angels, His
Books, His meeting, His Messengers and that you affirm your faith in the
Resurrection hereafter. He (again) said: Messenger of Allaah, (tell me) what
does al-Islam signify. He (the Prophet) replied: Al-Islam signifies that you
worship Allaah and do not associate anything with Him and you establish
obligatory prayer and you pay the obligatory poor-rate (Zakat) and you observe
the fast of Ramadan. He (the inquirer) again said: Messenger of Allaah, what
does al-Ihsan imply? He (the Prophet) replied: That you worship Allaah as if
you are seeing Him, and in case you fail to see Him, then observe prayer (with
this idea in your mind) that (at least) He is seeing you. He (the inquirer )
again said: Messenger of Allaah, when would there be the hour (of Doom)? He
(the Prophet) replied: The one who is asked about it is no better informed than
the inquirer. I, however, narrate some of its signs (and these are): when the
slave-girl will give birth to he master, when the naked, barefooted would
become the chiefs of the people – these are some of the signs of (Doom).
(Moreover) when the shepherds of the black (camels) would exult themselves in
buildings, this is one of the signs of (Doom). (Doom) is one of the five
(happenings wrapped in the unseen) which no one knows but Allaah. Then he (the
Messenger of Allaah) recited (the verse):” Verily Allaah! with Him alone is the
knowledge of the hour and He it is Who sends (down the rain) and knows that
which is in the wombs and no person knows whatsoever he shall earn tomorrow,
and a person knows not in whatsoever land he shall die. Verily Allaah is
Knowing, Aware. He (the narrator, Abu Huraira) said: Then the person turned
back and went away. The Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam)
said: Bring that man back to me. They (the Companions of the Prophet present
there) went to bring him back, but they saw nothing there. Upon this the
Messenger of Allaah remarked: he was Jibreel, who came to teach the people
their religion.

Allah (Exalted be He) says:
And whosoever
disbelieves in Faith [i.e. in the Oneness of Allâh and in all the other
Articles of Faith i.e. His (Allâh’s) Angels, His Holy Books, His Messengers,
the Day of Resurrection and Al-Qadar (Divine Preordainments)], then fruitless
is his work; and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers.(Sûrah Al-Mâ’idah 5:5)
And indeed it has been revealed to you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), as it was to those (Allâh’s Messengers) before you: ”If you join others in worship with Allâh, (then) surely (all) your deeds will be in vain, and you will certainly be among the losers.” .(Sûrah Az-Zumar 39:65)
It is not Al-Birr (piety, righteousness, and each
and every act of obedience to Allâh, etc.) that you turn your faces towards
east and (or) west (in prayers); but Al-Birr is (the quality of) the one who
believes in Allâh, the Last Day, the Angels, the Book, the Prophets….(Sûrah Al-Baqarah 2:177)
O you who believe! Believe in Allâh, and His
Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), and the Book (the Qur’ân) which He has sent down to His
Messenger, and the Scripture which He sent down to those before (him); and
whosoever disbelieves in Allâh, His Angels, His Books, His Messengers, and the
Last Day, then indeed he has strayed far away. (Sûrah An-Nîsâ’ 4:136)
Know you not that Allâh knows all that is in the heaven and on the earth? Verily, it is (all) in the Book (Al-Lauh-al-Mahfûz). Verily that is easy for Allâh. (Sûrah Al-Hajj 22:70)

Therefore, whoever curses any of the Sahabah (may Allah be pleased with them all) of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) will be entitled to a serious punishment according to the consensus of Muslim scholars.
However, they

The second question of Fatwa
no. 14535
Question 2: What is the meaning of the following
Hadith: When Allah wills good for His servant, He uses him. ?
Answer: It is related by
Al-Tirmidhy and others on the authority of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him)
that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'When Allah wills good for His
servant, He uses him.' They said, 'How does He use him?' He said, 'He guides
him to do good deeds before he dies.'
(Part No. 3; Page No. 203)
Al-Tirmidhy commented,
saying: "It is Hadith Hasan Sahih (a Hadith that stands at a higher level
than a mere Hasan Hadith, but at a bit lower level than Sahih). This Hadith
indicates that a person is judged according to his final deeds, and that a
Muslim should adhere to obeying Allah (Exalted be He) by doing what He enjoins
and refraining from what He forbids. Furthermore, he should increase his good
deeds, hoping that Allah will reward him with a blessed end.
May Allah grant us success.
May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and
Companions.
