The proof of loving Allah is base on our action and how much we adhere to the Sunnah of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم

The Ayah of Test (اختبار) for the Believer -  Sūrah 3. Āl ‘Imrân  Ayah 31

31Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم to mankind): “If you (really) love Allâh then follow me  (i.e. accept Islâmic Monotheism, follow the Qur’ân and the Sunnah), Allâh will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

The Prophet (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم) said, “You will surely follow the ways of those who came before you, handspan by handspan, cubit-length by cubit-length such if one of them entered into a lizards hole , you too will enter it.”They asked the Prophet  (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ), Do you mean the Jews and Christians?” He replied, “Who else?” (Bukhârî and Muslim)

Abdullah Ibn ‘Amr (رَضِيِ اللهُ عَنْهُمأَ) said, “Whoever settles in the lands  of the non-Muslims, then he celebrates their festivals of Nayrūz and Mihrajān (or any other festival), he imitates them and then he dies whilst in that state, he will be gathered with them on the Day of Resurrection.”

(Sunan Al-Kubrā of Al-Bayhaqī, 9/234, Ibn Taymiyyah stated that its chain of narration is authentic in Iqtidā As-Sirāt Al-Mustaqîm, 1/457)

The Permanent Committee of Scholars (Al-Lajnah Ad-Dā’imah) which had at its head, Imām Abdul-‘Azeez bin Bāz (رَحِمَهُ اللهُ) stated, “It is not permitted for the Muslim to eat that which was prepared by the Jews and Christians or idol-worshippers specifically for their days of festivities. And it is not permitted for the Muslims to accept a gift from them in celebration of those festivities because that contains honouring and cooperating with them in making apparent their religious symbols and furthering and promoting their innovations and partaking in the happiness of their festivals. And this may ultimately lead to taking on their festivals as our own festival.

Random Quote of the Day

Ibn Rajab:

If the slave of Allaah perfects his Tawheed and his sincerity for Allaah and he establishes/fulfills all its conditions with his heart, and his tongue and his limbs then forgiveness for his past sins becomes obligatory.

The Meaning of Ibaadah

Shaikhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullaah) said:

Ibaadah is obedience to Allaah by carrying out what He has commanded on the tongues of His messengers.”

He also said: “Ibaadah is a collective term for everything which Allaah loves and is pleased with from among the sayings and inward and outward actions.”

The Scholars are the Inheritors of the Prophets.

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymīn:

“The scholar is alive after his death whilst the ignorant one is dead during his life.”

Falling into fitan is made easy when the people abandon the way of the early Salaf, and they abandon righteous scholars of Sunnah and follow those who call to doubts and innovations in belief and methodology...

 .....

Abdullah Ibn Mas’ood رضي الله عنه said:

“How will you be when you are enveloped by fitan (tribulations) – a time  when the child will become old and the elderly will become  decrepit – such that when one avoids tribulations  (innovations and misguidance), it will be said, “The Sunnah has been abandoned.”’

It was said: “When will that happen O father of ‘Abdur-Rahmān?” Ibn Mas’ood replied: “When your scholars pass away, your ignorant are numerous, your reciters are many, your scholars are few, your leaders are numerous, the trustworthy amongst you are few and the world is sought by the deeds of the Hereafter – and religious understanding is sought for other than the Religion.”

[Saheeh; reported by ad-Dārimee, 191-192; Shaikh Al-Albānee said in Qiyām Ramadān p.3: “It is authentic as the statement of Ibn Mas’ood and its ruling, it is elevated to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم.”]

Advice Against Self-Amazement With One's Knowledge And Actions

Shaykh  Sālih al-Fawzān (hafidhahullah):

A person shouldnt be deceived with what he has from religion, knowledge or acts of worship. Instead, he thanks Allah for His blessings upon him (verbally with the tongue and physically with his limbs by using these blessings in the obedience  of Allah), and he acknowledges (with his heart) that this is a favour from Allah bestowed upon him.

Repent continually to Allah سبحانه و تعالى and humble yourself before Him

27. And those who disbelieved say: “Why is not a sign sent down to him (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) from his Lord?” Say: “Verily, Allāh sends astray whom He wills and guides to Himself those who turn to Him in repentance.”

28. Those who believed (in the Oneness of Allāh – Islāmic Monotheism), and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allāh: verily, in the remembrance of Allāh do hearts find rest.

29. Those who believed (in the Oneness of Allāh – Islāmic Monotheism), and work righteousness, Tubā (all kinds of happiness or name of a tree in Paradise) is for them and a beautiful place of (final) return.

Iman includes believing in Allah and His Messenger and having faith in what Allah and His Messenger informed of and in Allah's Commandments and Prohibitions.

 .....

The faith is not complete unless they obey Him and His Messenger in all affairs. Committing sins weakens faith, so the believers obey Allah (Exalted be He) and His Messenger (peace be upon him) in all affairs and avoid all sins.

A Servant Is Always Between Thanking Allaah For His Blessing & Al-Istighfaar From Sins

A Servant Is Always Between Thanking Allaah For His Blessing & Al-Istighfaar From Sins

Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah rahimahullaah said:

So the slave is always between a blessing from Allaah for which he needs to be thankful (Shukr) and a sin from which he needs to seek forgiveness (al-istighfaar). And both of these are by necessity among the affairs  that are always  with the servant . For indeed he does  not cease to remain  fluctuating between the Blessings  of Allaah and His Favours, and he does  not cease to be in need of at-Tawbah (repentance) and al-Istighfaar (seeking forgiveness from Allaah for sins). And for this  reason the chief of the sons of Aadam, the Imaam of the Muttaqoon (the pious), Muhammad () would seek forgiveness in all circumstances. The Messenger of Allaah () said in a Saheeh Hadeeth , reported  by [Muslim no. 2702]:

O people, turn in repentance to Allaah, for indeed I turn to Him in repentance a hundred times during the day.

Remembrance of Allāh Consoles the Hearts & brings Tranquility

The remembrance of Allāh the Mighty & Majestic removes all concerns & fears of the heart, and it has an amazing effect in acquiring safety (tranquility and ease of the heart), so there is nothing more beneficial – for the one whom fear has become severe for him – than the remembrance of Allāh the Mighty & Majestic;  for indeed in accordance to the level of his  remembrance, his fear is removed, until the very fears he had been wary of become safe for him…

What Du’ā Combines your Worldly Life & Ākhirah?

A man came to the Prophet and said,

“O Messenger of Allāh , what do I say when I supplicate to my Lord?”

He said, “Say:

اللّهُمَّ اغْفِرْلِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَعافِنِي وَارْزُقْنِي

‘O Allāh forgive me, have mercy upon me, grant me well-being and grant me sustenance.’

he gathered his fingers except  his thumb (and said), ‘for indeed these 4 combine for you, your Dunyā and your Hereafter.’”

Praying for the Muslim Ruler for their success, guidance and for them to be aided by Allah is a Sunnah

 ....

Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saaleh Al-Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy upon him) said, “If you see something from the ruler that is in opposition to (the Qur’an and Sunnah), then supplicate to Allaah for him because their rectification is a means of rectification for the Muslim nation; but when we say, ‘O Allaah! Rectify the rulers and guide them’, we hear some of the foolish people saying, ‘ O Allaah! Do not rectify them’. Glorified be Allaah, The Most Great! If Allaah does not rectify them, then that would be more evil for you, so supplicate for them to be guided and become righteous, and Allaah is able to do everything.’”
