وَاخْفِضْ
لَهُمَا جَنَاحَ الذُّلِّ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ وَقُل رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي
صَغِيرًا – 17:24
“And lower unto them the wing of submission and humility through mercy, and say: “My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was small.”

رِضَا
الرَّبِّ فِي رِضَا الْوَالِدِ وَسَخَطُ الرَّبِّ فِي سَخَطِ الْوَالِدِ
“The pleasure of the
Lord lies in the pleasure of the father & the anger of the Lord lies in the
anger of the father.”
Al-Sahīhah no. 515
لاَ يَجْزِي وَلَدٌ وَالِدًا إِلاَّ أَنْ يَجِدَهُ مَمْلُوكًا فَيَشْتَرِيَهُ
فَيُعْتِقَهُ
“A son could never repay his father unless he found him
enslaved, and so he buys his freedom and releases him.”
Al-Irwā no. 1747.
Ibn Umar said: “The
major sins are nine.” From them is: “The weeping of parents due to one’s
mistreatment of them.”
Al-Sahīhah no. 2898.
Ibn Umar: “If you speak softly with your mother &
you feed her, you should surely enter Jannah, so long as you avoid the major
sins.”
