Being Forgiven before
Going to Sleep
Translated By Abbas Abu Yahya
From Abu Hurairah
from the Messenger of Allaah –sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam– who said: “Whoever
says when he goes to his bed to sleep:
لَا
إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ، وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ،
وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ سبحانَ
اللهِ، والحمدُ لله، ولا إله إلا الله، واللهُ أكبرُ
‘There is none worthy
of worship in truth except Allaah Alone, He has no partners, He has the
Dominion and for Him is all praise. He is capable of all things, there is no
capability nor is there any power except with Allaah, far is Allaah from
imperfection and praise is for Him, there is none worthy of worship in truth
except Allaah and Allaah is the Greatest.
La ilaha ‘illa
Allaahu wahdahu la shareeka lahu, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu wa huwa ala kulli
shayin qadeer.
La hawla wa la
quwwata illa billaa
Subhana allaahi, wal
hamdu lillaahi, wa la illaah ila Allaah, wa Allaahu akbar
Then his sins are
forgiven – or his mistakes – even if they were like the foam on the sea.”

Silsilah as-Saheehah No.3414]
عند
النوم
عن
أبي هريرة عن النبي – صلى الله عليه وسلم – قال:
(من
قالَ حين يأوي إلى فراشِه: “لا إلهَ إلا اللهُ، وحدَه لا شريكَ لهُ، له الملكُ، وله
الحمد، وهو على كلِّ شيءٍ قَديرٌ، ولا حولَ ولا قوَّة إلا بالله، سبحانَ اللهِ، والحمدُ
لله، ولا إله إلا الله، واللهُ أكبرُ”. غُفِرت له ذنوبُه- أو قالَ: خطاياهُ، شكّ مِسعَر-
وإن كانَت مثلَ زَبَدِ البحرِ).
