Fasting the six days of Shawwal | Ibn Uthaymeen

Shaykh Uthaymeen said: If a person doesn’t fast the 6 days of Shawwal at the beginning of the month, that is permissible, due to his statement: “then he follows it up with 6 (days) from Shawwal.”* What is apparent from that is, so long as they’re within the month, then it’s okay.

TRANSCRIBER'S NOTE: *Abu Ayyoub reported that the Messenger of Allah, salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam said Whoever fasts the month of Ramadhan and then follows it by fasting six days during the month of Shawwal will be rewarded as if he had fasted the entire year.
