Abdullah al Bukharee May Allah preserve him was asked about shaking the hand of
the innovator. He answered by saying: it was mentioned in Siyar that Thawr came
to Imam al Awzaa’ee wanting to shake his hand and Awzaa’ee refused. He said “O
Thawr if it was a matter regarding the worldly life then closeness it will be,
but the matter is of Deen!”
