[ أيها الزوج: مهلا قبل أن تطلّق]
قال ابن كثير رحمه الله:
"فَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ يُمْسِكُ الْمَرْأَةَ إِمَّا
لِمَحَبَّتِهِ لَهَا، أَوْ لِرَحْمَةٍ بِهَا، بِأَنْ
يَكُونَ
لَهَا مِنْهُ وَلَدٌ، أَوْ مُحْتَاجَةٌ إِلَيْهِ فِي الْإِنْفَاقِ، أَوْ
لِلْأُلْفَةِ بَيْنَهُمَا،
وَغَيْرِ
ذَلِكَ"

Don’t be Hasty, O Husband!
Shaykh Muhammad Ghālib said:
O husband, take your time before
(considering) divorce. Ibn Kathīr, may Allāh have mercy upon him, said: ‘A man
holds on to his woman either due to mercy for her because she has children by
him, her need for him to spend upon her, due to the bond there is between them,
or for other reasons.’
