Allaah تعالى
says:
وَنُقَلِّبُ أَفْئِدَتَهُمْ وَأَبْصَارَهُمْ
كَمَا لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِهِ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَنَذَرُهُمْ فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ
“And We shall
turn their hearts and their eyes away (from guidance), as they refused to
believe therein for the first time, and We shall leave them in their trespass
to wander blindly.” (6:110)
Imaam ibn
al-Qayyim رحمه الله stated that it has been said:
“Whoever is
shown and presented with the truth, but rejects it and does not accept it, then
he will be punished with the corruption of his heart, intellect and opinion.”
