Shaykh Bin Bāz
(رحمه الله) said,
“It is affirmed that the Prophet ﷺ said:
‘Allāh does not look at your appearances or your wealth, rather He looks at your hearts and your actions.'
This authentic tradition shows us that our hearts and our actions are what will be looked at by Allāh, as for wealth and the body then this is not what will be looked at; because wealth is given to disbeliever and Muslim.
And the body can be strong and it can be weak, and it can be beautiful and it can be ugly whether Muslim or disbeliever. Rather, what is looked at is your heart and your actions.
When your heart is righteous and your actions are righteous then you will have succeeded with great success and safety and you will be in a high ranking with your Lord,
And when your heart is evil and your actions are evil then you bring about punishment and disaster upon yourself, and your ranking with Allāh becomes lowly.”
