Hadīth Qudsī:
Allah (تعالى) said: “Whoever knows that certainly I possess the power over forgiving sins, then I will forgive him without caring, so long as he did not ascribe anything as a partner to me.”
Reported by al-Tabarānī (in al kabīr) & al Hākim from Ibn ‘Abbās. Graded Hasan by al Albānī. See Sahīh al Jāmi’ (4330) & Mishkāt al Masābīh (2385)
Translator’s note: From the core of monotheism is restricting forgiveness of sins to Allah alone – refusing to cede that He would relegate that to anyone.
