[1] Cure For Riyaa & Kibr:
Imaam Ibnul Qayyim said: The heart is exposed to two severe diseases – Riyaa & Kibr. The statement ‘You [Allaah] alone do we worship’ is the remedy for Riyaa & the statement ‘You [Allaah] alone do we ask for help’ is the remedy for Kibr.
[2] Cure For Riyaa & Kibr:
I [i.e. Ibnul Qayyim] have heard Shaikhul Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah many times saying that the statement, ‘You [Allaah] alone do we worship’ repels Riyaa and the statement, ‘You [Allaah] alone do we ask for help’ repels Kibr.
