Al Allamah Ibn
Baz was asked “If a person steals or commits a major sin that results in a
prescribed punishment then he repents to Allah and the prescribed punishment
was not established upon him, will Allah forgive him or not?”
Answer:
“Repentance is
sufficient, if a Muslim commits a sin that has a prescribed punishment such as
Zina or theft, then they repented to Allah, repentance erases what came before
it…”
