Asking for A Good Ending
S’ad bin Abi Ayoob: Yazeed bin Abi Habeeb
informed me that when Ibn Abi Sarh was about to die he was in Ar Ramlah; it is
where he fled to from the fitnah. He started to say during the night, ‘Have you
reached the dawn?’ so they said, ‘No.’ so when it was the time of dawn. He
said, ‘O Hishaam verily I feel the coolness of the dawn so go and look, then he
said,
‘O Allaah make the last of my actions the
Dawn prayer.’
Then he performed the ablution, then he
prayed reciting in the first rak’ah the
mother of the book (sooratul Faatihah) and al’Aadiyaat; and in the other mother
of the book and a soorah with it. Then he turned to his right saying the
tasleem and when he began to turn to his left his soul was taken; may Allaah be
pleased with Him.
