Question: Noble Shaykh may Allāh grant you success, this lady is asking a question, saying: “Is it allowed for me to supplicate to my Lord for a marriage to a specific person, so I say: ‘O, Allāh marry me to such and such’?”
Shaykh Sālih al-Fawzān: ‘Yes; there is no harm in that if she
asks for him due to his religion (i.e., he is upright in his religion); if she
likes him due to his religion she supplicates to Allāh with that
(supplication).’
