Declare (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) to My slaves, that truly, I am the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful. And that My Torment is indeed the most painful torment. (Sûrah 15. Al-Hijr verse 49-50)

 

Ibn Al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“Many ignorant people relied on the mercy of Allaah, and His pardon and generosity, and neglected His commands and violated His prohibitions, and forgot that He is severe in punishment.”
