Supplicating for your Deceased Parents during the Night Prayers | Al-'Allamah Ibn 'Uthaymeen

Supplicating for your Deceased Parents during the Night Prayers!

Shaykh Ibn Uthaymīn (رَحِمَهُ اللهُ) said:

The students of knowledge should disseminate among the common people that ashā ul-wālidayn (slaughtering an animal and preparing food on behalf of the deceased parents and feeding people from it as charity for the parents) which occurs in Ramaān is not the best of things. (Rather) for you to make duā for your (deceased) father during tarāwī prayer or tahajjud prayer is far better than you slaughtering ten she-camels for him (as charity).
