“Rayyan: A Gate in Paradise for Fasting”
قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: "إن في الجنة بابا يقال له
الريان يدخل منه الصائمون يوم القيامة لا يدخل
[منه أحد غيرهم... " [متفق عليه
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
“Indeed in Paradise there is a Gate Called ar-Rayyan, those who Observe Fasting
will Enter through it on the Day of Judgment and No-one other than them shall
Enter from it…”
Shaikh Ibn ul-‘Uthaymeen stated: “This is a Specific
Gate called Ar-Rayyan, & “Rayyan” means “it quenches”, since those who fast
will experience thirst, especially in long Summer Hot Days, so they are
Recompensed by having the Gate termed specifically to them.”
