The Names and Description of the Qurʾān 

Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah summarizes the various names given to the Qurʾān by the Qurʾān, and from what he mentions is: 

al-Kitāb (the book) 
al- Qurʾān (the recital) 
al-Mawʿiah (the admonition) 
al-Ramah (the mercy) 
al-Balāgh (the conveyance) 
al-Karīm (the noble) 
al-Majīd (the glorious) 
al-ʿAziz (the mighty) 
al-Mubārak (the blessed) 
al-Tanzīl, al-Munazzal (the revelation) 
al-irā al-Mustaqīm (the straight path) 
abl Allāh (the rope of Allāh) 
al-Dhikr, al-Dhikrā, Tadhkirah (the remembrance, reminder) 
Taṣdīq alladhī bayna yadayhi (an affirmation  of what came before it) 
al-Muaymin ʿalayhi (safeguarding [previous scriptures]) 
Tafīl kullī shayʾ (an elucidation of everything) 
Tibyānan li kulli shayʾ (an explanation of everything) 
al-Mutashābih al-Mathāniy (oft-repeated, coherent resemblance between its parts) 
al-akīm (the wise) 
al-Mukam (precise, decisive) 
al-Mufaṣṣāl (detailed) 
al-Burhān (evidence) 
al-Haqq (truth), 
ʿArabiyy Mubīn (clear, manifest Arabic) 
Asan al-adīth (the best of speech) 
Asan al-Qaa(the best of narrated stories) 
Kalām Allāh (the speech of Allāh) 
al-ʿIlm (knowledge) 
al-ʿAliyy al- akīm (the Exalted, Wise) 
Way (revelation) 
ikmah, ukm (wisdom, judgement) 
Nabaʾ (news) 
Nadhīr (warner)

It is also described as that which yaquṣṣū (narrates), yaniqu (speaks), yakumu (judges), yuftī (gives legal verdict), yubashshiru (gives glad tidings), yahdī (guides).
