RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TRUE FAITH, SOUND
INTELLECT AND FOLLOWING THE MESSENGER OF ALLAH PEACE AND BLESSING OF ALLAH BE
UPON HIM.
قال العلامة ربيع بن هادي المدخلي حفظه الله:
أن من عنده عقل وإيمان صادق لا يخالف سنة الرسول عليه الصلاة
والسلام، ولا يخالفها إلا سخيف العقل أو مجنون -والعياذ بالله- يكون متبعاً لهواه؛
لأنه إذا خالف الحديث الصحيح اتبع من؟ اتبع الهوى {ومن أضل
.{ ممن اتبع هواه بغير هدى من الله

Al Allaamah Rabee Bin Haadee Al Madkhali – Allah preserve him
said:
Verily, whoever possess intellect and true faith does not oppose
the sunnah of the messenger –alayhi as salaatu was salaam. And no one opposes
it except a person who is intellectually inept or insane following his desires
–we seek refuge in Allah (from this state). This is because if he opposes an
Authentic hadeeth who does he follow (instead)? He follows his desire (And who
is more astray than the one who follows his desire without guidance from Allah).
