Imaam 'Abdullaah the Son of Muhammad Ibn 'Abdul-Wahhaab (d.1206H) on the Ahlul-Hadeeth

Imām ʿAbdullāh Ibn Muammad Ibn ʿAbdul-Wahhāb on the Ahl al-adīth:

Imām ʿAbdullāh Ibn Muammad Ibn ʿAbdul-Wahhāb (d.1242H) - raimahullāh – said, And it is well-known that the Ahl al-adīth are the most outstanding of groups within the Ummah in terms of research and knowledge about the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allāh (allallāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam). And that is because they remain pre-occupied with this, and they spend the duration of their lives mastering the Sunnah and gaining knowledge about it. And they are concerned with documenting it, compiling it and purifying it up until the aī(authentic) from that becomes known and distinct from the aʿīf (weak) lies that have been told. And no one disputes that, except someone who is an enemy to Allāh, to His Messenger and to the believing servants.

Refer to Majmūʿah al-Rasāʿīl wa al-Masāʿil al-Najdiyyah (4/124).

He also said, “No one hates the Scholars of Ahl al-adīth except someone who is from the people of innovation, lying and immorality.

Refer to Majmūʿah al-Rasāʿīl wa al-Masāʿil al-Najdiyyah (4/75).
