The Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said,
“Verily Allah has prohibited the Hellfire upon the one who
says Laa ilaaha illaAllah desiring by that the Face of Allah.”
Bukharee 425, Muslim 33
Shaykh Uthaymeen (raheemuhullah) said,
“So everyone who says it desiring the Face of Allah then
Allah will prohibit him from the Hellfire. Why?
Because, if a person says it seeking by it the Face of Allah
then he will implement that which it necessitates.
He will act in accordance to this tremendous phrase by
performing the obligations and leaving the prohibitions.
So if a person does what is obligated and leaves that which
is prohibited, makes halaal what is halaal and makes haram what is haraam,
implements the obligations and stays away from what is not allowed, then this
person is from the people of Jannah. He will enter Jannah and Allah will
prohibit him from the Fire.
