فَمَنكَانَ يَرْجُو لِقَاءَ رَبِّهِ فَلْيَعْمَلْ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا وَلَا يُشْرِكْ بِعِبَادَةِرَبِّهِ أَحَدًا (١١٠)
“So
whoever hopes for the Meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness and
associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord.” [18:110]
Shaykh
Saalih Al Fawzaan حَفِظَهُ اللهُ وَرُعَاه
“This (ayah) is a
proof that just hope (in meeting Allaah and attaining paradise) alone is not
sufficient, it is a must that there is (righteous) action. As for you hoping in
Allaah however do not accompany it with (righteous) deeds then you have negated
the reason (that will help you attain your meeting with Allaah).”
