Shaikh Fawzan حفظه
الله تعالى stated:
“This tongue is a
double sided weapon: if you utilize it in goodness it reaps and produces
goodness for you. However, if you use it in evil it reaps evil and sin for
you. And due to the importance of speech (everything you say) Allah assigned
two Angels, one to the right and one to the left of the person constantly.
“Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher
by him ready (to record it).”{Qaf:18}
They write everything he utters, whether it
is of obedience, nor disobedience, or casual allowable speech.”
