Ibn Qayyim رحمه الله said:
“The (true) fasting individual is the one whose limbs
abstains from sins; and whose tongue abstains from lying,
vulgarity and false speech;
and whose stomach abstains from food and
drink;
and whose private parts abstain from
obscenities.”
