High,says “And do not walk on the earth exultantly.”{al-Israa (17):37}
Al-Imaam as-S’adee
[d.1376 AH], may Allah have mercy on him,said:
This verse means: Do
not walk on earth with pride, vanity, and arrogance. Likewise, do not walk on the
earth to proud to accept the truth and believing you are superior to every one
else. (Tayseer al-Kareem ar-Rahmaan, 2/920)
