period of Time for Al-I’tikāf

Question: Is
the minimum period for Al-I’tikaf a night or is it as is within the Hadīth of
Ibn ‘Umar?
Answer: There
is no (minimum) limit. It can even be for an hour. The jurists have stated that
it can even be for an hour, because it’s demarcation has not come within the
legislation.
