Ibn al-Jawzi (may Allāh have mercy on him) said:
And it is befitting that striving
at the last parts of the month (of Ramadhān)
is more than it beginning for two reasons;
First: Because of the virtue of this ten (days) and seeking
Laylatul Qadr
Second: Because of the departure of a month that is not known
whether the like of it will be met again or not.
