It is a must we supplicate to Allaah to purify our hearts from Shirk, hypocrisy, jealousy , showing off, self-amazement, spite, rancour, love for leadership, & other sicknesses, for we do not know which sickness will be the reason for our downfall and a cause for a bad ending.

 

The illustrious scholar Haafidh Ibn Rajab (d. 795H) رحمه الله mentioned: 

“Indeed, a bad end is caused by an evil hidden trait in the servant that people are not aware of.”
