The
Scholars (Ulamah) are the religious leaders who provide direction (for the
people). Meaning: they direct the people with the Book (Qur’an) and Sunnah.
They nurture them upon the pure religion and pure Sunnah. Upon the pure
religion which is not polluted with shirk, and upon the pure Sunnah which is
not polluted by innovation.
