Shaykh
Al-Fawzaan admonishes in one of his sermons:
رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا
مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ
And
those who say:
“Our
Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our offspring who will be the comfort of
our eyes,”
Soorah
Al-Furqaan Verse 74
So
they began their supplication with the wives (i.e. due to the importance of
having righteous wives)
