The Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said:
“It was ordered that a slave from the slaves of Allaah is
whipped in his grave one hundred lashes; so he kept begging and supplicating
until they were reduced to one lash; so he was whipped one lash, and his grave
became filled with fire all over him. When (the punishment) was lifted and he
awoke he said:
“What did you whip me for?”
They (angels) replied:
“Indeed you prayed one prayer without purification,
and you passed by someone who was oppressed and did not help him.”
