Sh. Fawzān: And the Khulūf of the mouth of the fasting person is the
odor that comes from his mouth during the day while fasting, because his
stomach is without food, so an odor arises that is disliked by the people.
However this smell is beloved by Allāh, and with Him it is better than the
smell of Misk (good fragrance), because it stems from one obeying Him and it’s
from the remnants of His worship. So Allāh loves it, and with Him it’s
considered good, even if it’s disliked by the noses of the people.
