Ibn Uthaymīn said regarding “the Salāt of Allāh
on His servant Muhammad…” – it refers to Allāh’s praising and extolling [the
virtues] of the Prophet in the highest gathering and company, and this praise
is more specific than mercy. (Sharhul-Usūl min ‘Ilmil-Usool, 19)
