A tremendous hadeeth showing the importance of being sincere and firm upon obedience to Allaah, and not being amazed with your deeds, likewise always asking Allaah for success for a good end, and the severe consequences of sins…

Markaz Mu'aadh bin Jabal

Allaah’s Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

“Do not be amazed by anyone’s actions, until you see upon what (action) his life will be ended with.

For indeed a person may do righteous deeds for a period of time in his life, or for a while in his life, which if he were to die upon he would enter Paradise, but then he deviates and does an evil deed.

And indeed a servant may do evil deeds for a period of time in his life, which if he were to die upon he would enter the Fire, but then he abandons (that) and does a righteous deed. And if Allaah intends good for a servant He uses him before his death by giving him the success to carry out righteous deeds, then He takes his soul whilst he is upon that state.”
